5Childish Gambino
Because The Internet

I've really got little to say. He probably should be number 2 on the list, but I haven't
been spinning him as much as I usually do. Ever since his Mixtape Culdesac, I've
fallen in love with his nerdy-ness and the openness he pens into almost all of his
work. BTI is my favorite album by him, though my favorite songs from him are all
off prior releases (Royalty, Camp, and Culdesac).
4Don Broco
Priorities

There is something downright infectious about these dudes. There's not much that I
can say. They're absolutely energetic and a blast to watch (granted I've only seen
them via YouTube). They've produced multiple songs that have never left my head
since day one, and have become a favorite of my friend group. Combining funky
grooves, boastfulness, and a touch of their former post-hardcore sound, their
bombastic sound has become a staple to my listening regimen.
3Port Blue
The Airship

Every night before I go to bed, I listen to this album.
2Bring Me The Horizon
Sempiternal

This site, loves to hate on Bring Me The Horizon. In fact, most critical sites seem to
take pleasure in hating on those who indulge themselves with these guys. Honestly, I
hated everything until their third album (There Is A Hell...). And although I've recently
fallen in love with it, I instantly fell in love with Sempiternal, listening to the album in
it's entirety more than 300 times in about 7 months. They've created two albums that
have resonated with me for the past two years. Guilty pleasure or whatever you'd like
to call them, I love them.
1Thrice
The Artist In The Ambulance

There has never been a band that has touched me both lyrically and musically as
much as Thrice has. I have to admit, I came up in an era of over processed,
unemotional, banal music (a la Asking Alexandria) and I've even learned to tolerate
such musically trite endeavors; 10 years after it's release The Artist In The
Ambulance became an instant classic. I found it after falling madly in love with
Vheissu and The Alchemy Index. I drove a couple hours to hear them play Daedalus,
and they ended up playing some older stuff which really hit me hard. Little did I know
that the TAITA was considered the same genre as some of the trite bands of today.
Needless to say, I've grown with them enjoying every release they've put out since
First Impression, and it was difficult picking a favorite (as my favorite songs are
Daedalus and Of Dust And Nations). At the end of the day, I had to fill the space with
the one that has the most replay value in my household, The Artist In The Ambulance.
