Top 5 Movies 2014 (so Far)

It's a little late for any half way through the year lists, but nonetheless I wanted to make this since 1) i'm bored 2) most of the "bigger" movies that may be considered blockbusters are usually towards the latter half of the year, so doing this now kind of evens it out. What movies this year have you seen so far that have been really good? How about worst ones too? Hopefully I can see the new planet of the apes movie before the end of 2014. So yeah, these are just ones I've seen so far.
1Steve Miller Band
Fly like an Eagle

#1 The Grand Budapest Hotel. Probably my favorite so far this year. Wes Anderson
is an indie master when it comes to directing. Really like his surrealistic and colorful
production work. Great plot and pretty good comedy all around. None of the actors
made a letdown.
2Disclosure
Settle

#2 The Lego Movie. This was definitely one of those where you see the trailer and
you're like, "ughgh, no it's going to be so bad. Why can't they just leave it alone?"
But I heard very good reviews so i went to see it with my friends. I don't even think
it should be suited towards children much at all. It's a great movie for all ages and
there was plenty of material for adults and even teens like me who enjoy the
dirtiest and dumbest of humor. There's also a surprise character that was really
epic. Actually it's in the trailer so I'll just say it. The Goddamn batman!!
3The Police
The Police

#3 How to Train your Dragon 2. Phenomenal cgi and graphics in this film, and it's
rare you see a rich and emotional story in a movie like this nowadays, and not just
recycling a whole movie's plot over and over. Really good character development,
and the main villain looks like an obese bob marley.
4Deftones
Diamond Eyes

#4 22 Jump Street. Very funny, better than the original. The chemistry between
Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum is brother-like and I hope they work more with each
other throughout their acting careers.
5Arctic Monkeys
Humbug

#5 The Babadook. Very good horror movie. Seriously check it out if you're a horror
fan.
