08.06.14 | I have yet to hear any "Djent" that is better/worth listening to than Meshuggah. Coincidentally I just finished listening to NONE, which is one of my favorite EPs.
I've checked out Periphery, Tesseract, Animals as Leaders, Scale the Summit, etc. and all I hear is second rate Meshuggah.. some more wankery than others, but every time I hear any of these bands I just want to listen to the real thing.
I'd like some other recs of good "djent" bands, I guess Kobong is a good place to start? |

Yeah definitely the influence is there, but the actual music isn't all that similar, those are some
pretty non-meshuggah qualities to introduce and put focus on. |
