Talons Gets 5000 Comments

"Talons" as you all lovingly call me finally reached a milestone, 5000 comments on here. Most rof rthem just rarguing with you people over prog music and what the best songs are on Opeth rand Dream Theater albums, but rI wouldn't have it any other way. Here's some albums I've rbeen digging lately thanks largely to you wonderful rpeople. Also my profile pic is me with Alex rWebster from cannibal corpse m/
1Opeth
Pale Communion

Very pleasantly surprised with this one. They really pulled themselves together
after the enjoyable and experimental Heritage by making something ultimately
more cohesive and engaging in a long time. Sitting at a 4.4/5 for me currently
2There Will Be Fireworks
The Dark, Dark Bright

WHY DOESN'T THIS BAND HAVE A WIKIPEDIA PAGE??? This album is so well put
together and cohesive, one of the best I've heard in a while
3Trespassers William
Different Stars

This album is so relaxing and ethereal, was sad to hear they split up
4Mastodon
Remission

Finally got this on CD and is their most underrated release. Amazing album
5Riverside
Anno Domini High Definition

Another underrated one, lots of sputnikers convinced me it was their best and to
give it a try and they were pretty much right, very heavy and proggy
6My Bloody Valentine
Loveless

After getting into shoegazing, I quickly discovered this band and album pretty much
started/revolutionized the whole genre. This was an instant 5/5 for me, and so
many albums I love copy it. A true classic
7Gorguts
Colored Sands

One of the most creative and in-your-face prog death metal albums I've ever heard
8The Pains of Being Pure At Heart
Belong

Happy Shoegaze!
9Slowdive
Souvlaki

More great shoegazing, like MBV but less heavy and more indie
10Sleepmakeswaves
Love of Cartography

Amazing instrumental post-rock album, also very underrated
