Omg Aussie Music!111

it's not all riding kangaroos and throwing boomerangs in the land down under. when we've got the time we make music as well! and since the introduction of electricity in 1995, our repertoire of fine musical acts has increased exponentially. some examples.
1Bugdust
Welcome to the City of Snakes

Bogan rock at it's blistering best. Airbourne who??
2Andrew Morris
Valleys

So he sounds like a complete rip-off of Bernard Fanning? This guys got soul. For fans of soulful folk-rock
with only a hint of country thrown in.
3Powderfinger
Double Allergic

The new album's pretty dull, but this classic from 1996 should belong to any fan of alternative rock.
Turtle's Head ftw.
4Contrive
The Meaning Unseen

Good Aussie metal. It exists apparently.

I'm actually quite sick of ranting on about these guys, but no one seems to be getting the point. How hard
is it to check out these guys' myspace??? Alternatively, check out billy33's recent (although somewhat
melodramatic) review.
6The Living End
The Living End

If you consider yourself a punk fan and you've never heard this classic, you are not a punk fan.
7Alchemist
Tripsis

How do I describe this. Atmoscore?
8Cog
Sharing Space

Of the opinion that their first album didn't warrant so much attention, but this sophomore effort tickles my
fancy just right.
9Something for Kate
Echolalia

Dreamy, melancholic rock that swells with heart. Surprisingly awesome live.
10Cold Chisel
Chisel

Only album of theirs on the database. Sad. Classic Aussie barbeque music that produced one of the
greatest Australian vocalists and guitarists. It helped that they knew how to write songs as well.
