06.23.14 | All in all probably neither. Most likely it's almost split up equally, but maybe because of a particular sound wearing off or some great single being placed at the start it's the first half a little more often for me. |

06.23.14 | ive noticed track 3 is always the best, always |

06.23.14 | I usually think artists save their best till the end, maybe just me |

06.23.14 | I feel like the first half is usually better, probably because of the reasons KrazyKris said |

06.23.14 | i feel that this a silly question and that all albums are different! *rolls eyes and pokes out tongue* |

06.23.14 | All albums are definitely different and have their highlights in different places, just wondering if anyone has noticed a trend with it das all |

06.23.14 | according to the rock'n'roll guidebook the worst track should be placed second last
I dunno about the best, but I suppose a great opener and closer is important |

06.23.14 | Typically bands place their "best" songs up front to get you hooked into listening to the whole thing. It makes sense. I wouldn't hide what I consider my best work in the middle or at the end where some people might never get to hear. Of course that's just the intention since it's all opinion which songs are better. |
Avagantamos
06.23.14 | I like it when the best ones are at the end |
JJOMan
06.23.14 | 1 is always good but never the best, 2-6 all but one or two are good, 7/8 one is the easily overlooked but incredible track the other is borderline filler, 9 through the second to last are a couple of good to great tracks interspersed with forgettable ones and any half decent album closes with a good song. All depends on the quality of the album of course |
beefshoes
06.23.14 | Idk. I find that they tend to put the best on the edge of the album.

ChoccyPhilly
06.23.14 | The beginning or end. The beginning is more consistent but the end definitely have the best of the best |
idkpokeit
06.23.14 | Track 4 is usually the worst |
Feather
06.23.14 | track 3 is ALMOST ALWAYS a single and a lot of the time the first single. |
Feather
06.23.14 | track 1 and 3 tend to be singles normally. The closing track is typically strong or really experimental. |
nob973
06.23.14 | tracks 3,42 and 69 are worst and best at the same time
usually the end part (depending on tracknumbers the 2-3 last tracks) are rather better than the start, but thats just what i feel like and its probably wrong |
scorpiusx
06.23.14 | Track 3 for sure is frequently the best song on the album. The big single/epic statement that can only come in once you've gotten into the album's groove a bit, and shit starts to get serious.
Also, I've noticed that the penultimate track is often really great on really long albums. |
deathschool
06.23.14 | As a general rule, you should avoid albums. |

06.23.14 | What a stupid question. |
ChoccyPhilly
06.23.14 | Yeah, I've also noticed that track 3 is the single on loads of albums. I normally go for track 1,3 and the last one but it depends on what type it is |
Feather
06.23.14 | deathschool: I only listen to full albums. |

06.23.14 | opener and closer are (almost) always strong |
dimsim3478
06.23.14 | End, usually. The start frequently has a good track to kick-off. I find track three is usually where the lead singles go. |
