06.18.14 | If I feel like shit then I don't get joy from anything so kinda |
WilliamCloudwalker
06.18.14 | Yeah, that's a common thing. Right now I think that Gary Numan debut album is gay as fuck |
Mythodea
06.18.14 | Sometimes I feel like no band satisfies me. No song, no album, no genre. It sucks, especially when listening to music is a big part of your day. |
Mythodea
06.18.14 | Also, good to see Road Salt gets some love. I adore this album! |
Torontonian
06.18.14 | ^ it fucking rocks! i haven't heard any other album by them. Where should i start? |

06.18.14 | your profile pic deserves a feature |
Mythodea
06.18.14 | @Torontonian ''Remedy Lane'' seems as a good start and then ''Be''. I consider them to be (together with RS) their best albums. However these are all prog records. If you want some more of Road Salt's style, ''Road Salt II'' and ''Scarsick'' would do. |
Thibs
06.18.14 | 2 is the shiz |
Torontonian
06.18.14 | @mythodea cool, thanks bro. i think i'll give remedy lane a try since you say its on par with road salt. Great to see someone else appreciate that album btw! |
Torontonian
06.18.14 | @Thibs ya i like it. i just heard it yesterday for the first time. |
Thibs
06.18.14 | last year's Memorial is also great. |

06.18.14 | I typically go into "phases" with my hobbies. Music phase, movie phase, etc. I will say I'm more of a movie person than a music person but I'm trying to do both phases at once right now. |
BMDrummer
06.18.14 | Sometimes this happens to me, but music often builds a certain mood so if I'm not feeling it at the moment, I'm just not |
Thibs
06.18.14 | i had an indie rock phase. didn't last very long... |
Mythodea
06.18.14 | @Torontonian Now, be careful, my friend. Even if they are at the same level, they are different
styles. Anyway, I see you are a progster, so, yeah, go on! ;) |
laucha1266
06.18.14 | it's cool a mood |
Torontonian
06.18.14 | ^?.... |
Cygnatti
06.18.14 | I'm like that all the time. But the "phases" lasts months long. |
SirDrumsalot
06.18.14 | Happens to me maybe 1 day out of each month. |
TheSpaceMan
06.18.14 | dude nice to see Pain of Salvation on a list haha, listen to The Perfect Element man its one of my favorite albums of all time |
Torontonian
06.18.14 | ^Ya i love that album! remedy lane is next one my to-do list. but afterwards i'll give The Perfect Element a spin for sure. |
TheSpaceMan
06.18.14 | sweet Remedy Lane is great too the band is so overlooked, lemme know what you think if you get around to checking those out |
Torontonian
06.18.14 | ^ will do bro. |
Mythodea
06.19.14 | Hey, once I see some guys loving PoS, does anyone here happen to know anything about their future plans? |
TheSpaceMan
06.19.14 | Daniel was in the hospital for awhile with some bad medical problems, but thankfully he recovered and I believe they're touring a few small shows in mexico soon... I'm almost positive he plans to write another album with the band, and has a lot bottled up inside him from being apart from the world for so long so I'm looking forward to it |
Mythodea
06.19.14 | Oh, snap! Hospital huh? I didn't know things were so bad. I was hoping for a new album this year but I was ignorant as hell, obviously. In the end, I don't want PoS to end. |
TheSpaceMan
06.19.14 | yeah I'm not kidding when I say he had a tissue-eating bacteria in his body... it was some scary shit that he was able to overcome... check his (Daniel Gildenlow's) FB page if you're interested in details, he's got some great updates on his life, a very humble dude |
Mythodea
06.19.14 | I don't have a fb page so what you tell me will do. Thanks. Fuck... Can you recommend any band similar
to them? I've searched their sput page but I want sth closer to their sound. |
TheSpaceMan
06.19.14 | hmmm they are extremely unique so its hard to find a sound that matches them, but in terms of quality, style, and vocal performances I'd say Rishloo is pretty similar, and if you haven't given them a huge chance check out Tool they are fucking fantastic and definitely one of the best in modern prog |
Mythodea
06.19.14 | @TheSpaceMan, Ha! I absolutely ADORE Rishloo! It only took a listen to appreciate the magnificence of ''Feathergun''! Andrew has such a good voice! And of course Tool. I think what makes PoS so unique is the restrained power they have and the ''Layer-over-layer'' music and of course the vox. Thank you, anyway, man! |
