01.15.09 Songs I Love04.30.08 Looking Forward To...

Looking Forward To...

This is a compilation of some material that I'm very excited to hear. I realize that a lot of people will hate the majority of this, but I'm infinitely excited about it.
1Death Cab For Cutie - Narrow Stairs

Plans was a great CD, one of the best I've ever heard actually. Most people who are interested in this band have probably heard the new song "I Will Possess Your Heart", which is a pretty damn good song. If the rest of the album is like their first single, we'll all be in for a treat.
2Circle Takes The Square - Unknown

A band that doesn't have a lot of songs, but the ones they do have are breathtaking, to say the very least. Its been about 4 years now and we've still to hear any new material, except for the "Ritual Of Names" tracks on their myspace. I'm sure many people, just as much as I are anticipating a new release sometime (hopefuly) in the near future.
3Anberlin - New Surrender

Though I didn't really check into their older stuff, Cities was an outstanding album and I can't wait to hear what they come out with on this new album.
4Ministry Of Magic - Goodbye Privet Drive

I know for sure that no one has any real interest in this band, however, I think they're brilliant. Most of their newer tracks were all posted on their myspace and they were all great. They still have a few more songs to go before being completely finished with their new Lp, but it shouldn't be too much longer. Anyone who wants to check more into this need only read my review or check out their myspace tracks.
510 Years - Division

The Autumn Effect was a great album, partially because of its titled track, Wasteland and Seasons To Cycles. The new single on their myspace is good, we can only hope they deliver as much to the rest of the album.
6Alesana - Where Myth Fades To Legend

Alesana, the band everyone loves to hate. No doubt about it, these guys are about as emo as you can get, but there's something about them that I just love. The screamed vocals don't really interest me, but the clean vocals sound amazing, imo. The concept of their music is also great. I hope this new album impresses more than the last.
7Disturbed - Indestructable

10,000 Fists was a good CD, with some outstanding songs, but their best work can be found on The Sickness. I hope the new material lives up to its other albums.
8Dashboard Confessional - Unknown

I wasn't as big a fan of their older work as much as I was a fan of the newer stuff. I thought The Shade Of Poison Trees was a very fun and catchy album. There isn't a set date for a new release, but they are in the process of recording (I think).
9Saosin - Unknown

Saosins self-title was a deligh to the ears, and had some great tracks on it, to name a few: Voices, It's So Simple and Some Sense Of Security. Saosin are now recording, though a date for a new record has not yet been set.
10Quietdrive - Unknown

It's rare to see a band come out of no where and release something as great as When All That's Left Is You. Quietdrive, as well, are now recording new material, which I'm sure will not dissapoint.
