Karnivool Live.

Saw Karnivool live yesterday. And it was pretty fucking amazing. These guys man, these guys. Definitely one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. List is the setlist from last night. It was pretty fucking incredible.
1Karnivool
Simple Boy

Not one of my favorites, but this song slays live.
2C.O.T.E.

Some older stuff, which sounded really fresh and new. Good good stuff.
3Mauseum

Older stuff, still great.
4We Are

One of the singles from their latest record, played a bit faster live. It was good. And man that Ian can sing.
5Fear of the Sky

They played a lot of older stuff, which wasn't a bad thing at all. Themata is a great record.
6All I Know

Single from the second album, and one of the best songs on the album.
7Goliath

More good songs from Sound Awake, all played flawlessly.
8Deadman

He started this song with: "This next song is a bit of a trip". So that could mean two things: Change or Deadman. I would be fine with both, but Deadman being my favorite song from Karnivool, I was pretty fucking excited to hear this song live, and shit, he wasn't kidding. This song is a real trip live. I was completely in my own world, just drifting away. It was beyond amazing.
9The Refusal

Well back to earth it was. The Refusal, being the heaviest song from Asymmetry, was a slap in the face after Deadman, in a really good way. And the screams in that song? The bass player does those.
10Themata

Aah, the most well-known song from Karnivool. And it showed, the whole crowd went nuts. It was amazing to see.
11Aeons

The closing track before the encore. Which was really well chosen. It's definitely a great song, lots of emotion, lots of energy. Basically lots of everything that's good about Karnivool.
12Alpha Omega

Encore pt. 1: Another fucking trip from 'Vool. From Asymmetry, in my opinion the best track. Epic build-up in that song, and some really cool lyrics.
13New Day

Encore pt. 2: The perfect 'end credits' for a show like this. This song really has all the aspects of what makes Karnivool such a great band.
Shit this show was great. I recommend anyone to see Karnivool, when they're playing near you. The whole concert was freakin' amazing. And damn this band is just beyond great.
