05.26.14 | Cool band, I love all these but A Northern Soul from what I remember. Is it really that good @IronGiant? |
IronGiant
05.26.14 | Northern Soul is better to me than ASiH because the production is clearer and the instrumentation and lyrics are incredibly strong. The jams are more fun and the songs are catchier on Northern Soul. ASiH is the album I put on when I need fuzzed out bliss but NS is the album I put on when I want a genuinely great album. Urban Hymns kicks ass people need to start judging it based on its other tracks instead of Bittersweet Symphony which along with the other single is easily the weakest of the bunch and it's still a great song |
wacknizzle
05.26.14 | Thanks man, I'll give it another shot. I agree, Urban Hymns is a really solid album. |
AnimalsAsSummit
05.26.14 | maudlin of the Well tooo |
rapideyemovement
05.26.14 | The Smiths. |
IronGiant
05.27.14 | maudlin has always been too avant-garde-for-the-sake-of-being-avant-garde for me. The Smiths just sounds like jangling to me but agreed that Radiohead are extremely consistent and even though I dont listen to them anymore, Opeth. |
wabbit
05.27.14 | dumb opinions ITT

Friday13th
05.27.14 | bs symphony more like. Listen to the Moody Blues not cause they're consistent, on the contrary. However they still beat the verve every day of the week especially on a Tuesday afternoon |
NordicMindset
05.27.14 | btmi kinda maybe |
MyNameIsPencil
05.27.14 | I think Chevelle is really consistent, and Deftones, and Brand New, and The Dillinger Escape Plan |
NordicMindset
05.27.14 | now let's talk about inconsistency
ehem Dream Theater ehem Megadeth |
IronGiant
05.27.14 | I love Wu-Tang but I've always thought their releases as individual members have been choppy af |
SitarHero
05.27.14 | BrokenCYDE is more consistent
Guilty Pleasure - 1.3
Will Never Die - 1.2
I'm Not A Fan, But The Kids Like It! - 1.2
The Broken - 1.2 |
Rowan5215
05.27.14 | Absolutely hated A Northern Soul if I'm being honest, but the EP and Storm ruled |
RadicalEd
05.27.14 | I always thought "The Verve" are pretty inconsistent tbh. |
IronGiant
05.27.14 | hm how interesting. I like how the vocals aren't so buried in the mix, come ANS Rowan but at least we can both agree ASiH is phenomenal. and RadicalEd with only three LPs, you're bound to have differing opinions on consistency so I totally get you. Which bands do you think are extremely consistent? Oh yeah, totally forgot Thrice who are ridiculously consistent and I don't even like the band sans M/M and some tracks off Vheisuu |
