Hannibal And Fargo

...are two shows that definitely should not be anywhere close to as good as they are. I'm an episode behind on Fargo, so it may well still be a bit premature to sing its praises too loudly, but so far it's really blown me away and become a far more worthy companion piece to Coen Bros. masterpiece from which it takes its name and inspiration than anyone could have ever guess. And Hannibal, meanwhile, has taken a premise that initially--and rightfully--inspired groans (if not outright lamb- screams; really, ANOTHER prequel after that rare gem that was Hannibal Rising?) and crafted it into what's the most elegant, eloquent, gruesome, and beautiful drama on television. And it airs on NBC! If you haven't taken the plunge into its surreal world of macabre poetry, do yourself a favor and get on that. Also, list is recent gets.
