Top 10 Fave Albums!

Well, the time has come to issue my fave albums ever. Surprisingly, this wasn't a tough list to make at all (even though peeps pressured me into sharing my 'plebbish' picks with you guys). Sput is to thank for a alot of these, without it I'd still be jamming Blue and buying Yu-Gi-Oh! cards or some shit. If you see some albums you dig then sweet, post your personal faves below too! LETS AV IT!!!!
1Nirvana
In Utero

Well, holy shit, what more can I already say about this album that hasn't already been said. Been jamming this sucker ever since I turned 13 and its every bit as powerful nowadays, even after hundreds and hundreds of listens! From the opening chords of 'Serve the Servants' to the chilling outro vocals of 'All Apologies', this album is the true meaning of catharsis. RIP Kurt, you left behind a legacy many musicians could only dream of having.
2King Crimson
Red

Without a doubt the greatest progressive rock album of all time. This albums bleeds an atmosphere like no other, I mean don't try and tell me you have NEVER screamed 'FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLEN AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANGELLL' into your mirror at least once?...hopefully. But seriously, the musicianship on this bad boy is off the scale, from Bruford's insane off-kilter drumming to Fripp's devilish guitar work, this thing is an out and out classic. Oh, and yeah, 'Starless' is the best song ever made.
3Opeth
My Arms, Your Hearse

AN OPETH ALBUM ON A PLEB LIST WHAAAAAAAATTTT?! Ye, don't kid yourself, you knew the Swedish gods were gonna make an appearance at some point. MA,YH combines all of Opeth's best traits and throws them in a melting pot, and what's the result you ask? ONLY THE BEST PROGRESSIVE DEATH METAL ALBUM EVER MADE! Literally, there is not one point on this album where I think 'this is shite', quite the opposite in fact. Hail Mikael and Sweden in general, best country ever made.
4Black Sabbath
Master of Reality

Lets av it right, we all love riffs and we all love Black Sabbath. First time I heard 'Paranoid' I was like 'bloody ell, this is some heavy shizzle'...then this monolith grabbed my earlobes. Every bloody time 'Into the Void' kicks off, I grin as if Opeth's new album has leaked. The best riff ever written and the whole album is the just a 101 on how to write a beast of a riff. You all know the rule by now: 70's Priest & 70's Sabbath (apart from 'those' albums) >>>>>
5Opeth
Ghost Reveries

This one is only a recent addition tbh...lol, just kidding, its another best album ever from Akerstache and co. Without a doubt Opeth's most accessible release (in terms of reflecting their 'overall sound'), this album is drenched in moodiness and melancholy. Mikael's clean vocals are better than ever and, thanks to Steven Wilson (ugh), the production job is perfect. Not even Opeth's 2nd best record overall, just a personal favourite of mine, mostly due to damn nostalgia...
6Grimes
Visions

EY UP, ITS CLAIRE BOUCHER AND SHE IS IN AT NUMBER 6! Now, this one is a VERY recent addition to my Top 10. I have Greyvy to thank tbh (thanks man) cos, without him, there'd be no Grimes wall! But seriously, this thing hit home with me from the first cute vocal note to the final electronic 'wub'. Beyond stoked for Claire's new album this year, who knows...it could be another new entry on here ;]
7Judas Priest
Stained Class

STAAAAAAAAAAAND BY FOR EXCITERRRRRRRRRRRRR. Oh aye, its Halford and the boys in at number 7. Being the first Priest album I ever heard, this left a huge impression on me almost instantly. Arguably the greatest vocalist in the history of metal, Halford delivers one of his best vocal performances and the band matches him musically all the way. 'Sad Wings' may be the 'better' album overall, but this one just goes so hard its not even funny. 70's Priest (pos pls piss?) >>>>>>>
8Death
Human

Boy oh boy, do I miss you Chuck. The greatest death metal of all time getting a spot on here though? Not surprising in the slightest. Although Death's final four albums are all incredible, 'Human' takes the cake for their most accomplished album imo. The production is spot on and Reinert is always keepin you on ya toes, throwing fast as fook fills in the mix with Chuck's otherwordly riffs. A death metal classic and one that deserves all the praise it receives. RIP CHUCK!!!
9Megadeth
Rust in Peace

Megadave lives in all of us and this album shows why. The best thrash metal album of all time, some of the best riffs ever, the best solos ever, the best production ever and Marty Friedman...even my Nan loves this shit. Peace Sells just missed out admittedly, but 'RiP' remains the crowning achievement in all of thrash (and always will be).
10The Dillinger Escape Plan
Ire Works

Lol, I bet Jac up until point was like 'huh?! Where are the spazzy plebby riffs at?!'. Well they are here son, no need to fret. Picking a fave DEP was always gonna be a toughie, but yet again, nostalgia prevails. While IW still contains plenty of seizure-inducing spaz-fuelled riffs, this is easily Dillinger's most experimental album. Incorporating electronic elements to fantastic effect and closing with the best song ever, this thing was never not gonna make it on here! If you dislike this album/band, then you're a FUCKING PUNK!!!! (see 'Miss Machine').
