Jethro42 05.07.14	Not a big fan of any of those[2] For Earthless, nothing special happens except that samey heavy sounding all the way through, and Ozrick Tentacles display as many silly electronic effects as possible, which is not pleasant for the ear, but it's nonetheless better than Earthless. My vote goes for Ozrick Tentacles.

JamieTwort 05.07.14	Damn Jethro, I can understand not liking Ozric Tentacles but Earthless are awesome. Hard rocking, jam based psych at its best.
Jethro42 05.07.14	Really? If you say so, I'm ready to listen to it again and who knows if I change my mind, but I'm afraid it's gonna do the same effect to me. My issue is that kind of omnipresent heavy wall and the lack of variation.
TwigTW 05.07.14	I agree. It is a “heavy wall” of sound, and there is no variation. I like the wall of sound, and I like the never-ending guitar solos too, but a little variation probably wouldn’t have hurt the album, but . . . when I am having a “Woodstock moment,” this is exactly the album I want to hear.

JamieTwort 05.07.14	@Jethro:The lack of variation is part of the band's style. It's meant to take you on a trip through a whirlwind of constant guitar solos and heavy riffs. I understand if it's not really your thing though.
Jethro42 05.07.14	@JT, at my next listen, I'll keep on mind that all the attribute of the album are intentional from the band, so hopefully I'll be able to see the album from a new angle. But yes, my first impressions are not quite good. @Friday, during my new listening, my vote remains with Ozric Tentacles.

Friday13th 05.07.14	still leaning towards Ozric though. EDIT: Officially going with Ozric. When it doesn't sound like danceable arcade music, it's actually pretty good. Earthless is a cool jam but way too long with little variation.
