Top 10 Tool Songs

I enjoy their lengthier, more repetitive songs most I suppose. Tell me your favorite tracks and album(s) in the comments. Albums ranked: Lateralus>Aenima>10,000 Days>Undertow>Opiate
10Tool
10,000 Days

Jambi: Their most influenced by Meshuggah, this features crushing guitar and a wonderfully atmospheric bassline courtesy of heavy reliance on effects. Pretty much tied with Vicarious in quality and an amazing first 15 minutes to their most divisive album yet.

10,000 Days

The Pot: Tool writing a mainstream rock song??? THOSE SELLOUTS. Couldn't be more wrong. Sure it's short and follows a basic structure, but the bassline is classic Tool, and the drumming's of course technical. The catchy guitar line is effective, and the vocals are great as always.
8Tool
Aenima

H.: One of their underrated tracks, this has a very melodic and interesting sounding bridge. The heavy part afterwards and solo is great too. Also, how could you go wrong with distorted bass intro?

10,000 Days

Rosetta Stoned: Underrated, and has some of the best instrumental work the band has ever done. Tasty, heavy riffs and technical drumming throughout with a fine bass/guitar solo section followed by a great alternate chorus with amazing singing by Maynard.
6Tool
Lateralus

The Grudge: Definitely the most aggressive song on the album (aside from Ticks & Leeches), this song is driving, loud, and in-your-face. Maynard's scream at the end is one of the most face-melting moments of his singing career.
5Tool
Aenima

Forty Six & 2: This song doesn't get enough love in my opinion. Sure, the guitar and bass isn't especially complex, but the drummings phenomenal and probably one of Maynard's best vocal performances. One of the best sections of any Tool song is here too, the last bridge before the falling action.
4Tool
Lateralus

Lateralus: Some great guitar riffs from Jones and one of the best examples of Tool's great songwriting, this one's an instant classic. The outro is possibly the best part.
3Tool
Aenima

Third Eye: Their first epic, this is one of the heaviest and most grating songs they ever recorded. Experimental, bizarre, and industrial sounding, this song has some of Adam Jones' best guitarwork and passionate vocals from Maynard.
2Tool
Lateralus

Reflection: I love the Middle Eastern sound this song has. Probably my favorite Tool guitar line, the bass is equally amazing. The drumming is a complex tribal beat and contributes to how repetitive and hypnotic the song is. Great lyrics too.

10,000 Days

10,000 Days (Wings Pt. 2): Everything is amazing, the long intro, the atmospheric guitar, the buildup, the amazing bassline, and the beautiful lyrics. Probably their most emotionally resonating song.
