| Record Collection 4/30/2014
Stuff I've gotten over the past 2 months. | | 1 | | Meltdown Meltdown
Vinyl (grey). Some solid hardcore/thrash from Deathwish. | | 2 | | Osibisa Heads
Vinyl. Afropop/jazz fusion from perhaps overly happy Africans by way of London circa 1972 | | 3 | | Steely Dan The Royal Scam
Vinyl. Not a great cover, but it's the usual eclectic, perfectionist, awesome, Steely Dan. | | 4 | | Indian From All Purity
Vinyl (swamp green). Filthy, thick blackened doom... Thanks Chicago. | | 5 | | Judas Priest Stained Class
Vinyl. The Metal Gods need no explanation. | | 6 | | Last Dead Word 7
Vinyl. Meat and potatoes hardcore from guys that can hardly speak English when they attempt it (Japanese). | | 7 | | Coalesce 0:12 Revolution In Just Listening
CD. Yet to hear (YTH) | | 8 | | The Dillinger Escape Plan Under The Running Board
CD. YTH, but I'm glad to finally get a taste of this band. | | 9 | | Genghis Tron Board Up The House
CD. YTH, digging the artwork. | | 10 | | Scott Hull Requiem
CD. YTH, not the start into the realm of Scott Hull that I thought I'd have, but I'll take it. | | 11 | | Unsane Blood Run
CD. YTH, glad to have an intro to Unsane though. | | 12 | | Cave In Jupiter
Vinyl. Record Store Day. Spacey, catchy, dense, and engaging, very pleased. Also came with Anomalies Vol. 3 (including a good cover of Dazed and Confused). | | 13 | | Charles Bradley I Hope You Find The Good Life
Vinyl (clear orange w/ slight splatter). Record Store Day. Pure soul, plain and simple. | | 14 | | Frank Zappa Don't Eat The Yellow Snow
Vinyl. Record Store Day. Down In De Dew is delightful. | | 15 | | Earth The Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull
CD. I'm a sucker for Arik Roper, so I opted for this instead of AODDOL I. | |

05.01.14 | Sweet that you got the new Indian record. Jealous that you got Cave-In, I couldn't find it on RSD. | neurisis17
05.01.14 | ^Yeah I'm really pleased that I got it. I made sure I was in line early enough to where I would at least have a crack at getting it. | icatchthirtythree
05.01.14 | Board up the House rules man. have you not listened to any dillinger? | icatchthirtythree
05.01.14 | I also got that Cave In release on record store day. Was looking for tears for fears too but they didn't have it when i got there | neurisis17
05.01.14 | Nah, I never really felt compelled to. But I got 7-11 in a Relapse mystery bag of 30 albums, so I was blessed with quite a few interesting albums (these being the ones I was most intrigued by). Actually just listened through 8 a couple times, and I must say, I like what I'm hearing. | WellFedWhiteMale
05.01.14 | Good finds! | livewire
05.01.14 | biiiiiiiiiiig props for 15, however i cant say i even remotely liked 9 |
