Recent Acquisitions (vinyl) Part Deux
More crap to toss on the pile of crapdom (At least it's colourful though!) |
| 1 | | Assfactor 4 Assfactor 4
The lyrics, for the most part, are about as cheesy as they come. The music was/is
loads of fun though. I was always partial to nineties emo/screamo releases. |
| 2 | | Cave In Jupiter
Came with 'Anomalies Vol. 3'. I'm a little bummed that Hydrahead is doing a
coloured-pressing of it in a month or so. Oh well, at least I won't have to wait in
lines next year or anything. |
| 3 | | Cloud Nothings Here and Nowhere Else
Sky Blue. A solid release, even if I'm not feeling it as much as 'Attack On Memory' |
| 4 | | Dead Kennedys Give Me Convenience or Give Me Death
A classic compilation, and the usual mix that ever teen starts with. Well, usually. |
| 5 | | Dead Kennedys Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables
Still my favourite. A polished gem of punk and hardcore. |
| 6 | | Good Luck Into Lake Griffy
Purple. Stoked to find this one cheap. It was a bit warped, but runs just fine. |
| 7 | | Joyce Manor Joyce Manor
Black (One-sided w/ etching). |
| 8 | | Lemuria Get Better |
| 9 | | Mahavishnu Orchestra The Inner Mounting Flame
I can still remember sneaking into my brothers room around (when I was but a wee lad), and listening to this CD. It seemed
completely alien to me at the time - and it still does to this day! Absolutely love this record! |
| 10 | | Minor Threat Out of Step
Stone cold classic. Good price too! |
| 11 | | Modern Life Is War My Love. My Way.
(Trans. Red)
I think I messed up my ratings and gave this a three or something? Man, I can still remember watching them play at a church in
Round Lake and how they rent the very soil beneath their feet with numbers like 'Clarity' and 'Late Bloomers'. I miss that era of
hardcore. |
| 12 | | Off! Learn To Obey
More of what you'd expect from these guys. Still awesome. |
| 13 | | Radon Radon
(Neon-Yellow) Florida fun that reminds me of a mixture of The Hated and Jawbreaker. |
| 14 | | Sense Field Building
(Trans. Red) The better half of this record makes up for a rather subpar B-Side. |
| 15 | | Sunny Day Real Estate Circa Survive/Sunny Day Real Estate
(Semi-Trans.-Burgundy) First SDRE song in ages, and its not too shabby! The Circa Survive side isn't swaying me to their camp. |
| 16 | | toe For Long Tomorrow
(Trans. Yellow) |
| 17 | | toe Songs, Ideas We Forgot
(Indigo/Purple) |
| 18 | | Strife In This Defiance
(White) Came with a nifty poster that features their X'd hands and everything. I'll drink to that (Bet they would to! More power
to'em!) |
| 19 | | Youth Brigade Sound & Fury
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuke of Eaaaaaaaaaaaarl! |
