04.19.14 | Have you not listened to Panopticon before? |
BMDrummer
04.19.14 | Nope, didn't want to listen to it before I had it in my hands. I loved Oceanic and Absence of Truth though. |

04.19.14 | i got say hello to sunshine but that's it, RSD was lamezors this year |
ArsMoriendi
04.19.14 | Awesome! Zappa! Hope you enjoy it!
Hail to the Thief is really good too even if its my least favorite (bar Pablo, but duh) |
BMDrummer
04.19.14 | I saw that Flaming Lips record, but I didn't know anything about it. I have some of their stuff on vinyl already though which is cool. |
aircycle
04.19.14 | so you didn't get any rsd releases? haha |
BMDrummer
04.19.14 | I got two, An Ideal for Living by Joy Division and a compilation of 45s from R.E.M. I'm not too big on the RSD releases, most are either uninteresting too me or are too expensive. |

04.19.14 | yeah i was only really interested in the sunny day real estate/circa survive split single but it sold out long ago |
BMDrummer
04.19.14 | Yeah, I visit this record store every week usually so I usually take what's left. Also, for Ars, I listened to We're Only in It for the Money and it was awesome. I don't understand how I was missing out for so long on Zappa. |
ZombicidalMan
04.20.14 | panopticon will blow your mind on first listen. I remember waiting just like you did, plus I managed to snag it on black and orange splatter vinyl
A few years later it's great but I've become less enamoured with Isis now |

04.20.14 | REM signing!? Dang! That would be awesome! I love the annual pre-game RSD showcase that Chris does each year in the 'Tube.
Noiceness on the Joy Division EP! How does it sound?
Here's what I snagged:
Cave In - Jupiter + Anomalies Vol. 3
Sunny Day Real Estate/Circa Survive - Split (Semi-Transparent Burgundy)
Strife - In This Defiance (white)
Sense Field - Building ( Trans. Red)
Off! - Learn To Obey
Non-RSD:
Minor Threat - Out of Step

Funeralopolis
04.20.14 | Would've liked to get 1 |

04.20.14 | @WellFedWhiteMale Yeah, Mike Mills was awesome. That Joy Division EP sounds very nice and pristine, pretty thin vintage kind of pressing though. I saw that Cave In album and they seem like something I would like, I've heard their first album though. |
icatchthirtythree
04.20.14 | also got Cave In - Jupiter today. And Joy Division - Closer and TDEP - One of Us is the Killer |
WellFedWhiteMale
04.21.14 | @BMD: That's sweet that he was cool at the 'meet and greet'. A thin press on the Joy Division EP? Ahh man. If it sounds good though, that's all that matters to me. Still kicking myself for sitting on that one. I saw the Rhino Records tag, and figured they'd issue a repress a month or two after RSD.
Cave In was definitely a great band. I have a preference for their early days (Can't go wrong with some quality metalcore), but 'Jupiter' is a fantastic post-hardcore release. I hear Hydrahead is going to be issuing more copies around June or so. |

04.22.14 | Will check it out, I saw them in a documentary called "Blood, Sweat, Vinyl" and they seemed awesome. |
