03.18.14 | I go back and forth between completely agreeing and thinking more like this: http://www.dustedmagazine.com/features/651 |
ConorIsNotHere
03.18.14 | Who do you think we are, Pitchfork? |
Snake.
03.18.14 | shut up |
climactic
03.18.14 | who caresssssssssssssss |
DrMaximus
03.18.14 | "Not really a 4, but i couldnt give it a 3.5..."
Why |
PitchforkArms
03.18.14 | Guys don't give me too much shit haha I'm pretty sure you wouldn't mind some more options for rating |
NordicMindset
03.18.14 | I would, but keep it at 5/5 scale. a .75 wouldn't hurt |
adr
03.18.14 | "4.25 pls"
it must be possible to give more than a 5 for this album. 5.25 it pls. |
DrMaximus
03.18.14 | Nah, you don't need anymore options for rating. |
ArsMoriendi
03.18.14 | True, I gave Foster the People a 4.5/5.0. When if out of 10, I would have given it an 8.5, not a 9. |
Cygnatti
03.18.14 | rating system is fine as it is. the only change that should be made if there should even be one is allowing 0.5/5's. |
climactic
03.18.14 | i think the only thing they should change is allowing .1 increments for user/contrib reviews |
Veldin
03.18.14 | That would be the bees knees if .1 increments could be used. |
silentstar
03.19.14 | yea, I've been thinking about that
like, my past 8 ratings or so are all 3.5 but they vary in quality: some are weaker 3.5's and some are stronger 3.5's
I never minded it before but now that I'm listening to a lot more music, it's definitely left me concerned
I still love sputnik though - would never have been listening to any of this music were it not for sputnik |
PitchforkArms
03.19.14 | Yeah guys, i just feel like it belittles certain pieces by association |
NordicMindset
03.19.14 | i think the only thing they should change is allowing .1 increments for user/contrib reviews
This |
Funeralopolis
03.19.14 | all ratings need to be converted to the standards of theacademy asap. |
Keyblade
03.19.14 | You're overthinking it |
ffs
03.19.14 | you'd need some kind of machine that could compute numbers in order to achieve these kind of maths |
silentstar
03.19.14 | damn, true. didn't think of that |
itsalltherage
03.19.14 | Tbh I agree with this. There should be either .75 increments - or stick with .5 but out of 10 instead.
Just allows for more differentiation between ratings. It would also make the overall averages a little more accurate. Don't really see any downsides to that. |
SIMBOLIC
03.19.14 | i dont think they need to go any further than making increments of .25
but its ok as it is |
PitchforkArms
03.19.14 | Yeah it's fine as it is, I just wish there was a tad more differentiation |
SIMBOLIC
03.19.14 | yeh well devs too busy banning people for saying fag and who knows what the fuck jom actually does so we're boned |
tempest--
03.19.14 | how about you write lots of reviews to become staff and then you can rate things whatever you want! |
SIMBOLIC
03.19.14 | cause no-one cares that much |
tempest--
03.19.14 | this guy does he NEEDS more rating options because giving pieces of art a numerical value based on how much he enjoys them is PARAMOUNT to his sputnikmusic.com experience |
silentstar
03.19.14 | lol at invalidating fair opinions/thoughts
|
Lord(e)Po)))ts
03.19.14 | this is an important issue guys |
silentstar
03.19.14 | damn, don't be harsh on him
we all have little things we like to do to keep our sanity. maybe he likes his numbers a lot |
tempest--
03.19.14 | well maybe he can fuck off to RYM |
itsalltherage
03.19.14 | well i'm not going to ragequit the site over it or anything - but it would certainly be a logical improvement worth considering |
