02.21.14 | Definition in musical form of course. As soon as somebody mentions that a song has an "ethereal" quality to it I just imagine it sounding like The Blue Ghost. |

02.21.14 | Thanks everyone for your input :) sorry for being unclear, I mostly look for ethereal alt/synth/whatever rock, but I'm open to ANY good or fun music. I suck at describing music, that's why I'll never write any review.
Of course I know Kate Bush (just haven't listened to her enough yet to rate any record) and Cocteau Twins too. Cranes are absolutely lovely, can't believe I never heard of them!
From what I've heard yet, Aeon Spoke sounds good, especially their moody tracks. Not sure about happy ones, but they're probably gonna grow on me.
Also tried Devin Townsend... the record is interesting, but the lyrics are too cheesy for my taste (I checked lyrics to Lullaby and nearly spat tea)
Always wanted to get into Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Sigur Ros, so thanks for the reminder.
Gonna check all the rest. |
