02.17.14 | 2 is my fave |
Rowan5215
02.17.14 | Dude they're both 5s how can I |
ExcentrifugalForz
02.17.14 | If they both were coming to town and doing free promotional shows
the same Friday night and even were passing out free candy.
I wouldn't go to either. |
SitarHero
02.17.14 | Damn. So edgy. |
PunchforPunch
02.17.14 | same |
zakalwe
02.17.14 | Acca Dacca by the longest stretch. |
emprorzurg
02.17.14 | please, 14 year old girls who think it's cool to like 'old bands' call AC/DC acca dacca, never do it again.
thank you |
JamieTwort
02.17.14 | G'N'R cos Appetite. |
ButteryBiscuitBass
02.17.14 | AC/DC cos Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap is legit best album ever. |
zakalwe
02.17.14 | Acca Dacca (I'm a 14yr old gobby tart zurg, deal with it son) |
Davil667
02.17.14 | Appetite is a classic, but so is Powerage and Highway imo... The Bon Scott era as a whole was fantastic so my vote goes to AC/DC. |
emprorzurg
02.17.14 | you'd be a pretty awesome 14yr old gobby tart zakalwe, your music taste rocks |
tommygun
02.17.14 | both shite |
Rice303
02.17.14 | AC/DC, I've never been a massive fan of anything Guns And Roses besides Appetite For Destruction |
JamieTwort
02.17.14 | Bon Scott-era AC/DC rules but Appetite destroys every album AC/DC have ever made. |
PunchforPunch
02.17.14 | ballbreaker is 4.5 tho |
manosg
02.17.14 | AC/DC because of sheer volume of Bon Scott-era material. |
PunchforPunch
02.17.14 | u don't like Fly on the Wall manosg?
"both shite"
H-how could you!? |
Davil667
02.17.14 | Appetite is without a doubt a class of its own, but it’s also the only GnR album I can listen to from beginning to end. The sheer volume of great AC/DC songs makes my decision an easy one here... |
manosg
02.17.14 | "u don't like Fly on the Wall manosg?"
I actually have at 3 so I don't hate it lol. My least favorite are Blow Up Your Video and Black Ice. |
rockandmetaljunkie
02.17.14 | AC/DC because they were more consistent. Although, I love AFD more than any other AC/DC album. |
SitarHero
02.17.14 | The UYI's were inconsistent, but there were some great fucking songs on there. Axl, despite all his other failings, is a
superb lyricist, for the most part. |
tempest--
02.17.14 | appetite rules but ac/dc are way more consistent so ac/dc and bon scott played the recorder in this weird ass prog rock band before he joined ac/dc so yea |
menawati
02.17.14 | ac/dc bcos bon scott and dirty deeds done dirt cheap |
VermTheImpaler
02.17.14 | AC/DC is the most overrated band ever, not bad but they don´t have diversity and unlike motorhead their music bore me to the death. Lies, appetite and illusion 1 and 2 rapes AC/DC |
DominionMM1
02.17.14 | ac/dc man. highway and powerage destroy anything gnr has done. |
VermTheImpaler
02.17.14 | Reckless life, anything made by ac/dc. Coma rapes everything, is raw and destructive, more than TNT. Not saying that AC/DC is bad but is the most overrated classic rock band ever, I love classic rock but this band is far from being at the same level of other titans, sure is influential but is by far less interesting than most of their contemporaries |
BigHans
02.17.14 | Appetite is best album ever
Highway and Powerage are close.
Both are basically the best band ever. |
JamieTwort
02.17.14 | Appetite is best album ever [2] |
BigHans
02.17.14 | I say that all the time but Appetite really is the best album ever |
StallionMang
02.17.14 | both shite [2] |
menawati
02.17.14 | maybe closer comparison would be gunsnroses vs aerosmith |
BigHans
02.17.14 | As hard as Aerosmith have sucked for the last 25 years, you can't deny Toys in the Attic, Get Your Wings, and Rocks are indisputable classics. |
JamieTwort
02.17.14 | Hard. |
BigHans
02.17.14 | Sorry, meant 35 years. Aside from Pump, anything post 70s Aersomith sucks hard. |
Weirman
02.17.14 | GN'R has like one semi-decent album, while ac/dc have like 7 soooooo |
InbredJed
02.17.14 | AC/DC obv |
menawati
02.17.14 | "Toys in the Attic, Get Your Wings, and Rocks are indisputable classics."
the debut too, and draw the line bcos it was such a screwed up druggie mess that had Kings and Queens on |
BigHans
02.17.14 | Debut is near classic, Draw The Line is terrible aside from Kings and Queens and the title track imo. In their autobiography they were so drugged out when writing that album Tyler didnt even recognize his own songs. Perry told a story where Tyler heard You See Me Crying on the radio and asked him who it was. |
menawati
02.17.14 | i like draw the line bcos its so loose and all over the place, slide guitar on get it up is cool |
FearTomorrow
02.17.14 | AC/DC all the way. 70's AC/DC is the shit. GNR had some good stuff, but weren't nearly as consistent or fun. |
Chortles
02.17.14 | Dx |
DikkoZinner
02.17.14 | AC/DC
Bon Scott > |
VermTheImpaler
02.17.14 | Aerosmith in the 70´s was the shit, still enjoy some of permanent vacation, pump and get a grip stuff which is enjoyable as hell. |
BigHans
02.17.14 | dude Verm Get a Grip is so awful. Maybe I just hate it because when it came out it was a huge album, really hyped and overplayed. That and it had 3 ballads that sounded identical that constantly got played on the radio. |
VermTheImpaler
02.17.14 | How old are you hans , 35 I guess |
DominionMM1
02.17.14 | "Maybe I just hate it because when it came out it was a huge album, really hyped and overplayed. That and it had 3 ballads that sounded identical that constantly got played on the radio."
agreed. but livin on the edge was great. |
BigHans
02.17.14 | 33. Around here that makes me a fucking senior citizen. |
DominionMM1
02.17.14 | besides i dug those videos cuz alicia silverstone |
BigHans
02.17.14 | Living on the Edge was pretty cool, it was the lead single.
Then it was Cryin, which was ok for a bit. Then it was Its Amazing, which is a cross between the previous two songs. Then it was Crazy, which is Cryin lite, which sucks.
I think they released Eat The Rich but nobody played it, ironic as its my favorite jam on the album. |
MalleusMaleficarum
02.17.14 | ac dc is waaaaaaaayy better
|
JamieTwort
02.17.14 | Eat the Rich is a pretty cool song. |
BigHans
02.17.14 | Fever was a single too I think. |
JamieTwort
02.17.14 | I dig Draw the Line. It's kinda all over the place but it has some good jams. |
BigHans
02.17.14 | Its too bad they didnt combine the Illusions, it would have been a stone cold 5.
Without accounting for play length and the 80 minute limitation, would be something like this:
1. Civil War
2. Yesterdays
3. Coma
4. Dead Horse
5. You Could Be Mine
6. Get in the Ring
7. Don't Cry (Illusion 1 version)
7. November Rain
8. Breakdown
9. Estranged
10. Back Off Bitch
11. Live and Let Die
12. Don't Damn Me
13. Knockin On Heavens Door
14. Right Next Door to Hell |
JamieTwort
02.17.14 | Fuck yes that would be almost Appetite level. |
BigHans
02.17.14 | both of Slash's solos in Breakdown destroy, especially the 2nd one. |
Davil667
02.17.14 | Locomotive and Get in the Ring rule hard. |
BigHans
02.17.14 | When the Illusions came out I was in 6th grade an living off a $5/week allowance. So I only had enough money to pick one of them to buy when they first dropped. I picked 2, because Get in the Ring hard.
Probably the hardest decision Ive ever had to make m/ |
Insurrection
02.17.14 | GNR.
ACDC is just awful |
SitarHero
02.17.14 | Hans' UYI playlist bring the truth. Dont damn me is one of the most underrated hardrock songs ever. |
Snake.
02.17.14 | opeth |
mandan
02.17.14 | Not a big GN'R fan, so I'll go with AC/DC. |
jmnewcomer18
02.17.14 | Both shite [3] |
PunchforPunch
02.17.14 | the fuck, this got more comments than havey awesome list? bunch of smelly, bad breath, dad rock maniacs. |
SirDrumsalot
02.17.14 | They both suck. But GnR at least has a few good songs...so I guess GnR. |
BigHans
02.17.14 | the fuck, this got more comments than havey awesome list? bunch of smelly, bad breath, dad rock maniacs.
^What the fuck man, when you make a list talking about two of the best bands ever its bound to overcome whatever pussy bands was on that list you were bitching about. |
chemicalmarriage
02.17.14 | ac/dc |
