My Top Five Pink Floyd Albums

Oh my god I can see the comments already. "Where's (insert album here)?" My original plan was rto do a top ten but I felt like that would piss people off even more, "WHY IS ____ ABOVE r____?!" So. Yeah. My top five. These are my favorites and not what albums are considered by rthe masses to be the best.
5Pink Floyd
The Wall

I really don't know what to say about The Wall... it's a prog-rock juggernaut that is
an incredibly satisfying experience. The storytelling in this album is superb and the
music is fittingly dark and my favorite Floyd song (Comfortably Numb) is on this
thing. The reason it's placed so low (or high?) on this list is because this is one of
the few Pink Floyd albums that I sometimes don't make it all the way through when
listening to. I don't know why but I guess sometimes I get bored. I can't really
explain it... it's not really boredom it's...I'unno. Something. Anyway, on to the next
one!
4Pink Floyd
Animals

Animals is a Pink Floyd album that I only just recently (if you call five or six months
recent) listened to all the way through. I have to say...it's a damn good album.
Like. Really good. But I'm sure everyone reading this knows that seeing as its one
of the highest rated Pink Floyd albums on the site. Like all of the band's releases
this album is pretty unique. With each of the songs (excluding Pigs On the Wing 1 &
2) running into the double digits in length it's not for someone who just needs a
quick Floyd fix. It's still one of the best Pink Floyd albums and I highly recommend it
if you haven't checked it out already.
3Pink Floyd
The Division Bell

This is the album on this list that I know is going to piss people off. But I really
don't care. I adore The Division Bell. I think I like it so much because it was my
introduction to Pink Floyd. I'd heard songs from the band before here and there but one
night I grabbed this album from my dad's shelf, burned it to my computer, and gave it a
proper listen. I don't know what made me grab this album instead of TDSotM or The
Wall, looking back on it I think it might've been the album art (which I absolutely
love). Anyway, The Division Bell is an incredibly relaxing album and easily the better
of the two Gilmour led Floyd albums.
2Pink Floyd
The Dark Side of the Moon

The Dark Side of the Moon... what can be said about this album that hasn't been
said before? It's a real masterpiece. It's not just an album, it's an experience. Every
track on this thing is a hit and they seem to flow together seamlessly. While this
album is the one that most people can pick at least one of their favorite Pink Floyd
songs off of I can't think of a time that I would prefer to listen to just one song off
this thing. Every time I want to listen to something from it I find myself sitting
through the whole thing. It's an absolutely amazing album but it's not my favorite.
1Pink Floyd
Wish You Were Here

Wish You Were Here is my all time favorite Pink Floyd album because...well...it's
hard to explain, but I'll try. Each song on this album effects me differently, Wish
You Were Here is a really touching, down to earth song while Shine On You Crazy
Diamond is lengthy, experimental, awe-inspiring song. Each of the five tracks (four
if you count Shine On as a whole) are great in their own way. Every time I listen to
this album it feels fresh. Wish You Were Here is just incredible and you can't call
yourself a Floyd fan if you haven't listened to it all the way through at least once.
