It was a good year for music but it was far from great. Luckily there was quality in a diverse selection of genres making it enjoyable to switch up listening habits throughout the year.

It's been seven years since the last A Wilhelm Scream release and I'm not afraid to
say I've missed their irreverent drunkenness. A slap to the face to the Church and
your slutty girlfriend, Partycrasher hits all the right notes while being only slightly
less proficient than its predecessor. We are all boat builders.

dropped the ball on the second part of it.

...Like Clockwork

This record is classic Queens (read: before Era Vulgaris) with more blues and acid
rock influence than on any other releases. The speed is slowed to a jog rather
than a sprint, and each song neatly unravels to create the best listening
experience from front to back for the group since Rated R.
1Kanye West
Yeezus

A modern critique of American culture, Yeezus succeeds by pissing off and on
everyone. Do you know how many times I read people saying something along the
lines of "judge the music not the person", only to see them completely disregard the
sentiment when it comes to Mr. West? It's absurd. But I guess it's a good thing so
many people say they don't like this album, because it makes it just that much
more sweeter for me. And I'm sure it does the same for Kanye as well.
