The most amazing band in the world in my opinion. No other band is so amazingly heavy at one second, and then beatifully soft the next second. All of their cd's are simply amazing except for Orchid which I still do not own. Easily my favorite band. | | 2 | Lamb of God

Probably my first "heavy" band that I liked. I heard Chapter Four on Madden 2004 and ever since then I have loved them. Waking the Fallen is easily in my top five for favorite albums. No matter what A7X puts out they will always be a favorite band of mine just for the WtF album. I enjoy all of their albums, even the new S/T, but nothing will ever top WtF, ever. | | 5 | Poison the Well
A band that deserves a lot of respect in my opinion. Their first cd is just metalcore at what I believe to be it's finest. Of course You Come Before You just contains some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard and Versions is a step down from YCBY but still amazing nontheless. | | 6 | Chimaira
Another one of my first heavy bands I enjoyed. After hearing the song Salvation on Sirius radio I have been hooked. Resurrection is another one of my favorite cds and the song Six is just an epic song w/ an AMAZING guitar solo. | | 7 | Protest the Hero
This band honestly snuck up on me and surprised me. A friend burned me Kezia and I gave it a listen and didn't think much of it. One day I decided to give it another listen and I was hooked. I listened to it every day for weeks. I still have yet to get Fortress but what I have heard from it sounds great. I can already consider them a favorite after hearing one cd. There's a lot to say about this band. Just an amazing band to listen to. Everytime I listen to Hatecrew Deathroll or Follow the Reaper I enter another world, so to speak. I am patiently awaiting their new cd Blooddrunk and I am sure it will be great. | | 9 | DevilDriver
Another band a friend got me into. It seemed all my friends had heard their newest cd The Last Kind Words except me. I finally got a hold of it and listened to it nonstop. Fast, melodic heavy guitars and an amazing drummer make these guys a band I must listen to every couple days. | | 10 | Behemoth
Just an amazing heavy band. Every cd is different and though I don't own all of them, I atleast have a couple songs from each album on my Mp3. Some of the best bonecrushing riffs and guitar solos I have ever heard. Not to mention The Apostasy's vocals contain some top notch death metal growls, in my opinion. | |
