Top 10 For 2013
My top ten from the year of 2013. |
1 | | Have Mercy (MD) The Earth Pushed Back
Such an amazing album. Extremely emotional but their songs pack so much energy in them. My favorite album of 2013. |
2 | | A Great Big Pile of Leaves You're Always on My Mind
This came out during the summer time and boy was that perfect timing for this record. Living down in Florida, this album made my summer waaayyy more enjoyable. |
3 | | Tiny Moving Parts This Couch Is Long & Full of Friendship
Twinkly deliciousness... Love the tunings and unorthodox guitar playing that the lead singer throws on this album. |
4 | | Turnover Magnolia
Such a grower if I've ever heard of one. Wasn't too fond of it at first but this album grew on me and became one of my favorite albums this year. |
5 | | The Story So Far What You Don't See
Huge TSSF fan so of course I'm going to put this on my top ten. The production was a lot better than Under Soil & Dirt but it just falls in comparison to that album. Still a great album though.. |
6 | | Balance and Composure The Things We Think We're Missing
Loved this record even though it caught a lot of hate on this site, but that's the thing.. I don't care about other people's opinions on albums, if it sounds good to my ears, then I'll enjoy it. |
7 | | Citizen Youth
Nice little grunge/emo/pop punk record. Since Title Fight didn't put out a record in 2013 it was nice to have a band who sounds almost identical to them to put a quality record. |
8 | | Washed Out Paracosm
Chillllll as fuck album. I've been falling asleep to this album since its come out. Offers up some great vibes that you can just chill out to. |
9 | | Their / They're / There Their / They're / There
Expecting huge things from this band. Mike Kinsella actually put out some amazing music this year besides his Owen project. Wasn't too fond of his L'Amie de POO POO record.... |
10 | | Modern Life is War Fever Hunting
I'm a little backwards but this is the first MLIW album I've listened to and I actually enjoy it quite a bit. I think his vocals sound better on this than on Witness. |
