I saw Elvis Costello play a solo show last night and it was absolutely
amazing. I didn't know it was possible but I now have even more
respect and admiration for him. He played a great mix of classic hits
and more obscure cuts. I hadn't payed all that much attention to his
guitar playing before but it's really out of this world. The soundscapes
he was able to create on the spot with a guitar and a looping pedal were
unreal. It was surreal hearing such an icons voice in the flesh and so
true to his recorded sound. I can't think on any other artist today who
could do such a great 2.5 hour solo show. On top of that I got to enjoy it
with 2 generations of Costello fans and my lovely wife. If you get a
chance to see him take it! List is some bands I've seen live. Too many
great little local bands to list or remember. Cheers
