Take a guess / At what I mean / I'm just the same / But rather clean / Shed the skin / Of those who ween / Piece of mind / And purity.
Of thought (My thought).
When you were there / I couldn't tell / Of what was wrong / And what was well / To lift the stain / And dim the noise / To clear the brain / To clear the brain.

A passing thought / A fleeting wind / The dying night will now begin.
As we look upon the past / And make sense of it all / Sudden realization obscures perception.
Never know it, never knew it.
Floating unconsciousness / Liquid / Leeched away / Pointlessness.
In a world of grand design / That passing thought from lonely minds / He's given me a grander sign.
To love and be loved. |

Brothers in blood / And likeness of / Bury the fear / But surely none?
Entrenched / Entranced / Wretched / Cold hands.
Eaten from the inside out / Body and mind / Sent on a whim and the wave of a hand / Moving too fast from boyhood to man.
A minor offence turned capital hence.

A soaring arrow / Will fall from the sky / The heavens will rain / The spirit will die.
With broken arrow / Splintered in the dust / The people refrain / From water to stain.
Spirit Water / The ritual / From the heavens / Or is it Hell?
The chieftain of yore / Forsaken to soar / Touch down nevermore / Take drink of your store. |

Deprivation / No elation / Common station / No completion.
Consistency / In complacency / Find the link / To set you free.
Have the belief that dreams come true / Swimming in seas of different blue.
Can you sate your passion? / Will you wait for ration? / Comes in smaller doses / Smelling of false roses.

What is wrong with your mind? / Can't you see through our eyes? / Who has told you these lies? / Your thoughts I will rewind.
Erasure / Displacement / Composure / Replacement.
Opinions are null / Freedom is void / Of sheep I will cull / Who must be destroyed.
For the sake of mankind.

While wandering aimless / Remember the nameless / Commit to the faceless / Be the same more or less.
Hundreds before / And hundreds after / Ran the same thoughts / Through heads alabaster.
Recover the strength / That now bereaves you / You go to great lengths / When none will believe you.
Silence fill the forest dense / As the fate of the ages / Lays one more to rest. |
| 8 | Under the Surface
Under the surface / Everything was silenced / Under the surface / There was no need to fear.
Under the surface / Shelter from the violence / Under the surface / It would all come so clear.
Give me a reason / To float up / It's not that easy / It's not enough.
As chaos ensues above / Surrounded by crashing waves / My life is focused here / And cradles me to the grave. |

Can you see me? / A spectre from view / I walk in the shadows / Self-imposed.
I pray for our meeting / The way we touch / But mortals can't feel / Can they?
Your hand lain out plainly before mine / Like a dream, I can't move to hold it.
My stagnant quest / An endeavor to change / I was not made to feel / As you do.
Alone is the man who says nothing / Lonely is the man that says it all. |

Pools run red with mortal essence / Free from feeling and from pain / Rain alone can't clean this stain / War can now be given quintessence.
