Last "official" Day Of High School

Still have to come back every day next week to study for exams but today was the official last day. Feeling an assortment of mixed emotions, this list is just a compilation of stuff I have been into over the years (most of it is pretty bad)
25Katy Perry
Teenage Dream

While I am sure I hated it at the time, no pop album captured those early high
school years like this one.
24System Of A Down
Toxicity

Loved this album's frantic pace and crazy drumming, still enjoy this lots
23 Otep
The Ascension

Can't handle this album these days but back then I loved this as well as other Otep
releases.
22Underoath
They're Only Chasing Safety

Such a great release, loved it then and love it now
21Eyes Set to Kill
Reach

"Darling" was such a good song, I was a massive sucker for melodrama
20Emmure
Goodbye To The Gallows

Had that "fk u btch" mentality that most "heartbroken" 15 year old boys will enjoy.
19Bring Me The Horizon
Suicide Season

I still like a few songs off this album but a lot of it is pretty bad. Enjoyed heaps
back in the day because of it's "brutality".
18A Skylit Drive
She Watched The Sky

I'll never forget how embarrassed I was about enjoying this EP so much.
17A Day to Remember
Homesick

ADTR were probably the most consistently liked band in my year level, there was no
way I was not going to get into them.
16The Plot In You
First Born

This is a recent one that was really huge among my friends and myself, discovered
this band when I saw them live with Buried In Verona and much like BIV they
became the group's obsession and was played all the time.
15Buried In Verona
Saturday Night Sever

A friend of mine found this small band, which eventually became an obsession for
my whole friend group. "Hangin' Hoes By Their Toes" has been blasted at many
parties.
14Blink-182
Enema Of The State

Not much to say about this one, I'm sure most people were into this album at one
stage, I still love it.
13Greeley Estates
Go West Young Man, Let The Evil Go East

While it makes me cringe a bit these days, this album and No Rain, No Rainbow
came to me at a stage in my life where I was very much getting into heavier bands.
and they provided a good amount of accessible heavy.
12Taking Back Sunday
Tell All Your Friends

One of my favourite albums, packed full of nostalgia and perfectly captures all the
melodramatic nonsense that defined 15 year old me.
11Suicide Silence
The Cleansing

Thought this was as heavy as music got when I first found it, still a bit grating to
listen to from start to finish.
10All That Remains
The Fall of Ideals

My former best friend got me into this band and I spent many a Saturday afternoon
at his house listening to this and playing video games.
9The Amity Affliction
Youngbloods

"Anchors" was a huge hit at my school, I loved this album a lot, I still do like it
heaps. Amity was the first band I saw live in 2011 with Asking Alexandria and they
were fantastic.
8Asking Alexandria
Stand Up And Scream

Loved the chugs and the needless vulgarity, thought this was "heavy as fuck".
7Korn
Korn

Loved how angry this album was, great for a bad day.
6My Chemical Romance
Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge

My obligatory "MCR phase" was actually far later than everyone else I talked to as I
didn't really care for music in primary school, so I kept my immense enjoyment for
their music to myself mostly.
5Enter Shikari
Take To The Skies

Bought this album on a whim and grew to love every track on it, still enjoy this a lot
now.
4blessthefall
His Last Walk

Not much to say on this album, just something I enjoyed naturally given my taste
at the time.
3Marilyn Manson
Mechanical Animals

I still dig this album, actually enjoyed this more than Antichrist Superstar back in
the day.
2Escape The Fate
Dying Is Your Latest Fashion

Pretty much every year 8 who liked "heavier" music had a moment with this album.
1Alesana
The Emptiness

I am not sure why I loved this album so much, even my friends thought it was lame
but hey! I was 15.
