The Smiths And Joy Division (ranked)

These 2 bands are timeless.
1The Smiths
The Queen is Dead

Honestly, this is really an amazing album. The lyrics are out of this world
...Johnny Marr also shines on this album, but the drums and bass take are the best featureon this album.Morrissey is an amazing
singer
2Joy Division
Unknown Pleasures

No wonder Peter Hook has the word Hook in his name....His bass lines are truly powerful (His intros especially)! Peter Hook really
changed the way bass is played IMO.Ian's
voice is actually tolerable in this album (He actually sings!)
3Joy Division
Substance

Amazing comp album of demos (complete)...If only Ian was still alive...This could have been their best album if they would have
only sparked it up a bit and tweaked it a bit.
4The Smiths
Hatful of Hollow

Amazing,tied with substance
5The Smiths
The Smiths

Johnny Marr's prime
6Joy Division
Closer

I could never really get into this one completely.....It just drones on for me,but is
still amazing
7 The Smiths
Strangeways,Here We Come

This is good, but just isn't as strong as the others.. I should have added a slot 8 for Meat is Murder :(,but yeah,Meat is Murder
is my least favourite Smiths album
