10.15.13 | TARANTINO | Trebor.
10.15.13 | "I almost had a heart attack when I thought maybe you left David Fincher out"
Fincher is not even that good. My favorite film by him is The Social Network and that's because of the writing more than anything
I don't really revere directors who don't write their own shit anyway | WeepingBanana
10.15.13 | my favorite movie is danny darko | KeithStone582
10.15.13 | "I don't really revere directors who don't write their own shit anyway"
You're kidding right? | Trebor.
10.15.13 | no, I'm a screenwriter so that's my main focus when it comes to films
All my favorite directors write their own shit, except like Scorsese
| Deviant.
10.16.13 | My problem with Spielberg is that he can go from stuff like Schindler and Shaving Ryan's Privates to shlock like The Lost World and Indy 4. He's clearly got the chops, but he needs to drop the family friendly stuff that he always seems to indulge in after he does a more dramatic piece, like he needs to shake it off with something more light hearted. Which is fair, except his bio has more rises and falls than just about any other "acclaimed" director | Deviant.
10.16.13 | "Jackie Brown is way better than Kill Bill and Django"
AND FUCKING THIS | ShitsofRain
10.16.13 | 1 is also my favourite | ANJ45
02.08.14 | Wes Anderson [3]
and Miyazaki deserves a spot on any greatest director's list, practically. | TMobotron
02.08.14 | Cronenberg is the biggest one missing IMO. Also I mostly agree that memento was Nolan's only great movie.
Lynch is my personal fav, though PTA is close. | ResidentNihilist
02.08.14 | tarkovsky > list (except ingmar of course) | Buzzkillr
02.08.14 | Some good choices but the order is all backwards. Also, Nolan and Spielberg don't belong anywhere near a top 20. |
