10.03.13 | Hmm...well, the concept the concept abum should preferably be metal, but alt rock works too. Basically, the concept album should follow a narrative, but not like a overblown story, just keep everything simple. Also, the concept album should say something deep, about the human existence and whatnot, instead of just telling a fun little story. That's just my ideal concept album, though. |
Avagantamos
10.03.13 | a post rock double album about slingin crack rocks on the compton block |

10.03.13 | An album that covers aspects of life that make us mad, greed, insanity, politics and death interspersed with voice samples of opinion on the subject matter and an underlying tribute to friends lost. |

10.04.13 | There has been this idea for a concept album floating around in my head for a while now
The story would be about a man in the hospital suffering from a heart attack and he is told he will die soon, slowly throughout the album his body will get replaced by artificial organs so that he continue living, while being visited by corrupted and false memories. In the end he lives but he has become something completely different. The music style would go from melancholy rock/folk to psycho industrial or something like that... |

10.04.13 | Well progressive definitely. Maybe a story about like in a post apocalyptic world. Not necessarily a story but about the hardships of living in a Fallout 3 type world with well written philosophical lyrics would be pretty awesome. |

10.04.13 | Already been done with The Funeral of God c: |

10.04.13 | Zao lol. Probably not exactly what you're looking for, but maybe close idk. Sorry, I'm too big of a fan of theirs. Its not progressive at all though. |
Mongi123
10.04.13 | Haha metalcore yea no. But it's a compelling concept anyway. |
JokineAugustus
10.04.13 | Don't judge it without hearing a song at least :D |
Mongi123
10.04.13 | I'm sure it's great in it's genre but I just can't deal with anything that has core at the end of it
besides post hardcore. Just not my thing.
Fine I'll bite what song haha |
JokineAugustus
10.04.13 | That's cool man. I haven't heard much post anything tbh. Anything I should start with? |
Mongi123
10.04.13 | I don't listen to lots of post hardcore really but what are you speaking of from The Funeral of God? |
neurisis17
10.04.13 | Om does a concept album about anything, in whatever style they want cause it keeps getting more fascinating to watch their progression with each album. Maybe bring back Chris Hakius to dual-drum with Emil, and add Jeff Caxide to dual-bass with Al. |

10.04.13 | Metal concept album that doesn't necessarily tell a story, but is based around philisophical or political ideas and stuff. I would want the lyrics to connect in a similar way to Lateralus, but be continuous, like one long song like Colors. |
Solaire
10.04.13 | Opeth's concept album for Still Life is my ideal type of concept album.
Take a story of a man from the start of his conflict and show him struggle through it until he ultimately bites the dust. A testament to the hardship of existence. | http://sphotos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/263924_10151070167468873_841398286_n.jpg |
