That song overwhelms me with positive emotions. part of what makes their music so excellent is how open to personal interpretation it is though, so have at it. Definitely a non-sad tune for me though. Dead Flag Blues, East Hastings, Sleep: definitely sad. BBF3, not so much.

Personally those lyrics you posted aren't the saddest I've ever seen despite the incredibly sad subject that they relate too.
