| Top 5 Albums
These are my favorite albums of all time. Note that I only limit one album per band to stop Opeth and Children Of Bodom overflow. Oh, and this is in order fyi. | | 1 | | Opeth blackwater park
This album turned my music world upside down. Never before have I heard such a great combination of my two favorite types of music. This album has expanded my tastes in music like no other, and that is mainly why this is my favorite album of all time.
Favorite Track : The Drapery Falls | | 2 | | Children of Bodom Follow The Reaper
This is another album that also helped me expand alot aswell, and thus I must give it the credit it deserves. Follow the Reaper is an amazing album that is filled with many catchy neo-classical riffs. I feel Alexi's vocals are also at a pinnacle at this point. The keyboard and guitar interplay is also outstanding, especially during the solo sections of "Kissing The Shadows". Anyways, this is a metal classic in my opinion and is a must have for metal fans everywhere.
Favroite Track : Children Of Decadence | | 3 | | Metallica Master Of Puppets
Yes, yes, I know it must be pretty boring seeing this album show up on every list but really, this album is just so kick ass. Theres not much to say that hasnt already been said about this masterpiece. My favorite moments of this album are during the various breakdowns in songs (especially in the title track).
Favorite Track : Orion | | 4 | | Radiohead OK Computer
Yea well this album is pretty much a neccesity of anyone who remotely enjoys listening to any form of music. I remember when I first got it I was very skeptical of its suposed "greatness". I cant believe I ever felt that way... Honestly though, if anyone reading this list does not have this album, GO GET IT; it is lifechanging and contains musical creativity that 99% of people will atleast appreciate if not love.
Favorite Track : Lucky | | 5 | | Pink Floyd The Wall
Most likely the best concept album ever to exist because so many people are able to relate to it. I (and im sure many others) can easily relate to the feeling of isolation this album gives you through its deep and dark lyrics. This album contains some very beautiful songs such as "Hey You" and "Mother", but at the same time has some great rock tunes as well, like "Young Lust" and "Comfortably Numb". This album defines classic in my opinion.
