Minus. 09.10.13	Most people that say SNW is the best are usually the ones that didnt start listening to this band until 2007 or later. I've been listening to this band since '98 and have watched them evolve over the last 15 years. ATF and WP are their best albums by far.

jmnewcomer18 09.10.13	i in fact did start listening to them last year but i feel that snw is the best mainly because it is their most diverse and most emotional to date. also, combat is my favorite deftones track. that song is poorly underrated
Minus. 09.10.13	No, I understand where you are coming from. But what I'm saying is that most of the younger users got into this band in the mid to latter part of the 2000's. Deftones' sound is so much different from ATF to SNW. Obviously the fans that got into this band because of SNW or even DE are going to favor those albums over their earlier stuff. I was actually pissed off when I heard SNW because it was such a big change, but it did grow on me and now I like it.

And Minusdrummer, I got into these from White Pony, but I personally feel Diamond Eyes is their finest hour. Although most of these albums run right next to each other. 1-4 are pretty much joint.

I think the reason to why it cant compare to their other albums is just the fact that nowadays it is so raw sounding and they just hadnt found their signature sound at that point. WP is obviously their breakthrough album and i dont usually find myself listening to adrenaline like ever
