The Essential Slowcore

Slowcore is basically (mostly) stripped down (indie) rock music, as a statement against the rlouder rock acts. The tempo is (naturally) slow and only ever so often increases to a rcrescendo. Themes are very introspective and (therefore) often sad in nature. On this list I ronly include one album per artist. Some albums can get leaped in with other genres as well, rbut fit the characteristics well enough to be called Slowcore. Remember: it is completely rnormal that- if you are familiar with the genre- you find other artists to be, to some degree, rslowcore. The genre has influenced more bands/genres than you would like to/can admit. rTherefore, some inclusions are obvious, others are disputable.I will provide some sparse info rhere and there on some peculiarities or essentials.
