09.09.13 | Post-hardcore and metalcore are the two genres I think most have become bastardized. Other than dubstep. All started out completely innovative in a sense, then bands and artists dumbed down the sound to a barely recognizable variation of the original, and they were the ones to gain the most recognition. It's nothing to get really angry about, though. Just take it as an opportunity to show him better stuff. |

I know they were/possibly still are huge there for obvious reasons, but in the States, at least in my region, anyone that I've met that claims to listen to post-hardcore is all up Sleeping With Sirens and Escape the Fate's ass. But if they're good people, they're good people. Music taste and genre ignorance isn't anything to get pissy about. Either leave them be or politely educate them without being a pretentious ass. |
