jmh886 09.08.13	Haven't heard Ulcerate. I'll add em to the queue. Whether you like Periphery or not, it's pretty undeniable that Matt Halpern is a beast. I'm not crazy about Rush, but yes Neil Peart is kind of good. And like I said these are who I think are the best drummers, just my favorite albums for listening to the drum parts.

Judio! 09.09.13	Dave Lombardo on "South of Heaven" is pretty sweet. Also, as much as Lars Ulrich sucked on the later albums, I think he did an extraordinarily great job on "...And Justice For All" and a great job on "Master of Puppets."

jmh886 09.20.13	So I listened to a bunch of Ulcerate today. Drummer's pretty awesome. I get pretty bored of most death metal drumming. It's all awesome, but its hard to be very creative when it's just constant blast beats. This guy does a great job, but I still prefer a different style if I had to choose. But this band's pretty awesome so thanks for the rec.

Motiv3 09.20.13	Honestly, where is Chris Pennie's performance on Calculating Infinity by DEP? Honestly beats any of the examples you've listed. Also Blake Richardson's drum performances on later BTBAM albums are a lot better than on Colors and much more varied/interesting. lol @ Periphery.
jmh886 09.20.13	I mean it's hard to pick 10. I love DEP. Once again these are my favorite drum parts. So it is possible for any album to beat another one when it is a matter of personal preference. Also, do people who not like periphery honestly think Matt Halpern isn't good or something? I find that pretty hard to believe. Either theyre just hating cuz its the thing to do or they've never heard or seen him play. Youtube some of his videos.
