Agony

There comes a time in most people's lives where things get rough. I think you are all rwith me when I say that rrrmusic can guide you through personal pain and can be used as ra form of catharsis. List is my personal rrexperience with just a couple of albums that basically got me up and running again.
1Cult of Luna
Somewhere Along the Highway

It was round about 2010 when I heard this record. My mind was going through some really strange turmoil with family issues and whatnot: my Dad
left me, my Mum was an emotional wreck with anxiety and I was having very 'untoward' thoughts. My friend hit me up on Facebook and told me that
he had discovered a pure 'catharsis gem'; that 'gem' being Cult of Luna's seminal masterpiece 'Somewhere Along the Highway'. I remember listening
to this album in my dimly lit room and just feeling all of this raw emotion being lifted off of my shoulders. The strings, vocals, production and beautiful
soundscapes hit me so hard still to this present day. Therefore, this album will go down as one of the most important ones for me, I'll never forget
that pure feeling of 'happiness' the first time I heard 'Finland'.
2Rinoa
An Age Among Them

Anxiety; one of the most horrible and confusing things you will ever experience. Although my
anxiety at this present time has somewhat 'calmed down', a couple of years ago it hit an all time high.
There was no particular reason for such a thing to come along: my life was going great, I made a
bunch of new friends and my grades in college were on course. It was just the strangest feeling of
inner doom and solace that just came along so randomly. Thanks to you guys (yes, YOU guys) I
found this album and was able to lift such horrible emotions. After all, I have a loving family and
friends as do most of us, so life isn't all that bad...right?
