The Rules Of Rec'ing

The greatest thing about this site is that it brings together so many musically rknowledgable people who are rwilling to share their expertise with the community. But rfrom there stems a problem, maybe its over-generosity r(on sput? i think not). here are rsome of what i think should be rules to recomending music on a users list.
1Opeth

Keep it simple. A few albums guys (3 or 4). The worst thing is when you ask for recs and a user
gives you 40 albums to sift through. There's no guidance there. Sputnik is awesome because a lot
of users are very well-versed in music, but you don't need to proove it while recommending.
2Karnivool
Themata

Type the recs in list form, not paragraph form. It's just easier to look at.
3Strapping Young Lad
City

If the user who creates the rec list seems to already have a grip on the genre and is simply looking
for more music, don't recommend the genre's giants, odds are they have already been listened to.
