BallsToTheWall 02.22.08	Do you want harsher, doom influenced Katatonia or newer streamlinded Katatonia? Old, Doomy vibe, get Brave Murder Day, Mikael Akerdfeldt provides all the harsh vocals. My personal favorite album from them. Newer stuff, Viva Emptieness, or Last Fair Deal Gone Down.

VicariousIntent 02.22.08	For Katatonia, I recommend The Great Cold Distance. For Pain of Salvation, I've heard Be is very good but I'm actually seeking it myself right now and can't say for sure.
freudianslipknot 02.23.08	Katatonia are good but Pain of Salvation are awesome. My second favourite band behind Opeth so I am biased - any of "One Hour by the Concrete Lake" "Perfect Element: Part 1" or "Remedy Lane". "Be" is way pretentious. I couldn't get into it.
