obviously in the context of the entire world, HANL don't get any recognition, but in the context of sputnik, they get massive amounts of praise, so yes they are overrated

02.19.08 | the new loved ones album, the new sylosis mini-album, "market harbour" by ginger, protest the hero "fortress," the new hot water music comp, and ".2" EP by bossk are my current faves. i've yet to check out anything off this list, but from what i've heard, they're not really my thing. if i get the chance i'll still have a listen anyway. |

02.19.08 | Just because a band gets a few good reviews on sputnik doesn't make it overrated here, I'm well aware of context. The HANL review has 44 comments and not that many views. As far as bands on sputnik go, their praise is measly compared to...say...At The Drive-In or Thrice. And HANL is breaking new ground and making original music. It's not being overrated in my opinion if they deserve the praise.
So it all boils down to opinion I guess. |
