PitchforkArms 08.12.13	And chuckytruant, I listened to ITCOTKC, and I liked it but frankly, I was quite underwhelmed. That's more of a perspective thing though.

I had always heard of it, but never listened, even after I started listening to prog. And especially after listening to more modern stuff, ITCOTCK isn't as groundbreaking as it would've been if I listened to it before I knew what prog was

PitchforkArms 08.12.13	A few years ago, looking back, i cant believe i likes some of the shit i did, but thats just how it works. i feel like recently, i fell into genres and groups that have some staying power. Like this site has such a distaste for bands like Between the buried and me, but they got me into the prog scene and turned me on to lots of modern prog.

PitchforkArms 08.12.13	Right on sauce. If something is really too bad for me to listen, I don't, but I have a really deep appreciation for musicianship and intellectual thought so I can give most things a good shot. I don't sacrifice my personal tastes though.
TheSupernatural 08.12.13	I've only listened to 8 9 and 10 on here. 8 is great metalcore but maybe a tough first listen. 9 is pretty accessible. Half the album is decent and half the album is mindblowingly good (Limousine, Luca, You Won't Know are the top songs) 10 is very dissonant and fun. If you haven't listened to anything like it before, it may take a bit of adjusting

MosesMalone 08.12.13	Out of this list Opeth is the only band I cared for growing up. I knew about Death and Atheist but couldn't really stand them (still can't), and of course I found Brand New to be ultra-lame until just a couple of months ago. But you don't have to have been there to understand the awesomeness of the music. You just gotta jam it, simple as that. As for the undoubtedly loved, I can assure you that I have no doubt in my mind when I say I love Boris and That Handsome Devil more than I love most people.
