08.11.13 | Here it is, my favorite band of all time! Heaven Shall Burn!! This band is absolutely my favorite band for many good reasons! I'll make this short, this band is the absolute heaviest, loudest and most hardcore band I have ever heard! PERIOD! But one thing about that heavyness is that HSB NEVER consisted of blast beats, chugs, and breakdowns! (They focus on none of that) They always had variety, no song sounds the same, and that's an absolutely incredible feat! The band isn't completely heavy, they have great melody in many songs! Also, their sound and musicianship is amazing, never were they generic! The vocalist Marcus Bischoff screams with flawless ferocity, his vocal talent is tremendous! He is without-a-doubt my favorite vocalist in metal! (Sorry Mitch Lucker)Also, don't expect clean singing. Another thing to mention is their lyrical structure and themes. HSB has been well known for their intricate and well thought-out song writing abilities! HSB never focused upon religion, their lyrics are strictly political. They really focus upon society, anti-racism, anti-fascism, corruption, mankinds obsession with warfare, animal rights and veganism. Basically showing a support for fighting social justice. HSB never fail to disappoint! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed! Don't let that whole metalcore label push you away, this band is more melodic death metal than metalcore. |
