08.04.13 | ahhh i think for the most part they worked, just in one or two places they didnt sound right for whatever reason. But at the same time the album is basically a demo so who knows how it would have turned out if it was recorded properly. Maybe he would have taken a bit more time over them, ah well its cool either way. Also speaking of the recording quality of goatlord, i actually liked the rough ass demo sound thats on there. Very similar to the feel i get from abominations of desolation, but them again i'm a bm fanboy as you know so anything that sounds grim and underproduced normally grabs my attention haha | Hawks

08.04.13 | lol JT ive made the same comparison many a time but no one ever listens :(
and yeah moose the goatlord vox were recorded the same way as any other darkthrone vox, it's the instrumentals that are from the rehearsal tape of what was to be their second album, then when they made the decision/stylistic switch to primitive black metal they ended up using the studio time they booked to properly record goatlord to record a blaze in the northern sky instead, and all that remained of goatlord was the near-flawless rehearsal tape, recorded in '91, which fenriz added vocals to in '94 with a few guest appearances by satyr and ultimately it was officially released in '97 | MoosechriS
08.04.13 | ahh shit yeah, just looking at the insert for the cd and it's all there duh. I should really read inserts more often |
