2d Final Fantasy Games Ranked

I'm just ranking the 2D Final Fantasy games becuase I find them amazing. If you have played them too (or some of them) I would love to hear how you would rank them. I like the 2D games better than the 3D ones.
1First Place: Final Fantasy VI

I mean, did you expect any other game on the first spot? FF VI is like the perfect 2D RPG game. The story is intriguing and the sort of post-apocalyptic feeling that the other FF games didn?t have are amazing here. The environment is almost steampunkish with Industrial Revolutions, coal mining, railroads and all that cool future stuff. The characters are really good and fuck?it?s awesome. The epitome of a grand adventure.
2Second Place: Final Fantasy IV

The emotional struggle between the main character Cecil, his friend Kain and the antagonist is really special and interesting. There is also a lot of romantic stuff going on here which is cool considering that no other FF game have ever really focused this much on the love part of the story before. The entire game just rocks hard. This is also the first FF game which featured what is called Active Time Battle where the player actually has to be fast and time the different moves. Innovative as fuck.
3Third Place: Final Fantasy V

This is the game where the job function was perfected. There are so many interesting jobs in this game that you sort of forgot about the story and just played around with different setups. The story in this game is very classic FF where you must find the four elemental crystals and that leads to an epic adventure. It was a couple of years ago since I played it but I haven?t been album to defeat the final boss yet?hard shit.
4Fourth Place: Final Fantasy II

This game might be considered the black sheep of the series because the leveling system is kinda crap. Since this was only the second game in the entire series I still think it?s really impressive. This game actually has some legit character development and so many of the main characters just die which is really sad. It?s a pretty dark game where I think 4-5 party members die or suffers some fatal injury. It?s a completely new and bold direction from the first game. It?s also the first FF game I ever played which makes it very nostalgic.
5Fifth Place: Final Fantasy III

This is the first FF game to feature jobs. Almost all characters in the FF series focuses on something like white/black magic, melee or ranged combat but with the job system you can switch around the characters use in the party. This was quite interesting for the time but wasn?t fully perfected until the fifth game since it has some flaws here. A really solid FF game overall. Can?t say I care for the characters in this game as much as I do in the others.
6Sixth Place: Final Fantasy I

It might seem harsh to put the first Final Fantasy game as the worst but it really kinda is. Don?t get me wrong here, it?s still a fantastic game but it lacks so much. There is no character development at all since there are no characters really. Your party basically consists of four random heroes without any personality. The game overall is good otherwise but a lot more simple than the others. This game is also very cryptic compared to the other ones.
