Awesome Discography Journeys
A while ago i went on a massive download binge and ended up with a seemingly endless mass of music which im slowly making my way through. List is band discographies i'm really enjoying working my way through.......might take a long long time to finish haha but its a fun journey |
1 | | Agalloch The Mantle
Really consistent and great, even the EP's are worth a listen if you haven't already |
2 | | Anathema We're Here Because We're Here
Started with their more recent stuff which i love but delving back into their older doom inspired albums is pretty interesting aswell, plenty of good stuff throughout |
3 | | ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead The Century Of Self
I had this album for ages and at first didn't think much of it, but coming back to it later it's become a little favourite of mine so i went back to check their other (more highly rated) albums and those are quite good aswell.....suprised this is rated as low as it is here really |
4 | | Barn Owl Bridge To The Clouds
Pretty cool psychedelic/folk/drone well worth checking out |
5 | | Blut Aus Nord The Word Which Transforms God
Only listened to this album and the less liked MoRT (which i actually enjoyed quite a bit, so evil!) looking forward to hearing the rest of their works for sure |
6 | | Bob Dylan Blonde On Blonde
Love me some folk music for a while but never listened to Bob at all.....changing that, the man makes some quality tunes |
7 | | Boris Flood
Prefer their old drone albums but the new stuff is quite cool to |
8 | | Buckethead A Real Diamond In The Rough
So many albums!!!.....So many good albums!!! |
9 | | Built To Spill Perfect From Now On
Enjoying these guys quite a bit |
10 | | Cult Of Luna Salvation
Consistently awesome across all of their albums bar none |
11 | | The Cure Disintegration
Just starting out on the cure and the few albums i've heard so far have been pretty awesome |
12 | | Devin Townsend Ocean Machine: Biomech
Devin is the man, whether its on his own or with strapping young lad, the man can music |
13 | | Dinosaur Jr. You're Living All Over Me
Just starting out on Dino after reading plenty on here about how good they are....starting to really warm to them |
14 | | Drudkh Microcosmos
Not a popular opinion it would seem but so far this is my favourite drudkh album.....but they are all worth listening to |
15 | | Enslaved Axioma Ethica Odini
Loved this when it came out so decided to go back over this bands quite long history and man are they consistently good even through changing of styles |
16 | | Fugazi 13 Songs
Loved Thrice and Thursday but decided to travel back to the old school post hardcore scene......good decision |
17 | | Godflesh Streetcleaner
This album is so dam good, will be working my way through their other works, they don't look as highly rated but im sure there's still plenty of enjoyable stuff |
18 | | In Flames Clayman
I know their newer albums are basically universally hated by fan of old in flames, but having never listened to old or new before so not having an allegiance to either i find both eras enjoyable......slight tip to the old tho |
19 | | Isis Panopticon
One of my favourite albums of all time, the rest is all quite awesome aswell even the old EP's |
20 | | Jesu Silver
After listening to Streetcleaner i felt obliged to check out Jesu.....which i may enjoy even more than Godflesh i think |
21 | | Katatonia Brave Murder Day
A Discography i've had for quite a while but used to only really enjoy their later more alt rock styling s....but having expanded my tastes since then i think this might be their best work |
22 | | Kayo Dot Choirs Of The Eye
Yes this album rules, but so do all of the others which seem to be quite under appreciated here |
23 | | The Lawrence Arms Oh! Calcutta!
Love the sundowner records (solo folk punk from one of the singers) which inclined me to check out Lawrence Arms, quality band |
24 | | The Magnetic Fields 69 Love Songs
Yes this 3 disc set is magnificent......but so is the rest of his work aswell from what i've heard so far |
25 | | Maudlin Of The Well Bath
Started out with Kayo Dot and having absolutely loved those albums i had to check out these.....just as good |
26 | | Meshuggah I
Thoroughly enjoy zoning out and just getting lost in the poly-rhythmic beast that is Meshuggah |
27 | | mewithoutYou Brother, Sister
Quite a quirky band, but once i got used to the vocal style, really enjoyable |
28 | | The Microphones Mount Eerie
The Glow Pt2.....which i am yet to here actually, is quite lauded around here....but this album is quality stuff to along with a number of others. |
29 | | Modest Mouse The Moon & Antartica
Really popular band round here that i had never actually heard anything from, decided that needed fixing......good decision. |
30 | | Mount Eerie Lost Wisdom
Having heard the album 'Mount Eerie' i had to go on and listening to the project after The Microphones under the same name......i think might actually be better than his Microphones era works. |
31 | | The Mountain Goats Tallahassee
Maybe my favourite discography i have encountered, massive amount of albums/Ep's....and the majority of it all is just sublime. Favourite lyricist. |
32 | | My Bloody Valentine Bloodless
On here its hard to be around for more than a week without seeing this album lauded in one form or another, so i had to see what all the fuss was about.....i kinda get it now, although its still growing with every repeated listen. |
33 | | Nadja Radiance Of Shadows
The perfect music to just put on once you get in bed, turn off the lights, and let it take you away. |
34 | | Natural Snow Buildings The Dance Of The Moon And The Sun
Drone/Folk/Psychedelic/Awesome |
35 | | Neurosis The Eye Of Every Storm
My favourite Neurosis album is the one i'm listening to.....i just can't choose!! |
36 | | Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds Murder Ballads
Just starting out with Nick and its started well.....this album is twisted and evil and brilliant. |
37 | | Opeth Morningrise
Been through Opeth over and over and still this is my favourite Opeth album.....and i'm not entirely sure why....it just is |
38 | | Pink Floyd Animals
Their best is the best of the best |
39 | | Pixies Doolittle
Trebor and his doolittle spamming |
40 | | Primus Frizzle Fry
Les Claypool is one funky monkey with that bass....and i love it |
41 | | Rush Hemispheres
Pink floyd might have the best of the best.....but Rush have a discography of great albums....which floyd sadly do not |
42 | | Swans White Light From The Mouth Of Infinity
From what i've heard so far, Swans is going to be one hell of a Journey. |
43 | | Thou Tyrant
mmmmm Sludgy goodness everywhere you look in Thou's catalogue. |
44 | | Tom Waits Mule Variations
Just starting out with Tom and this album has me hooked in.... |
45 | | Ulver Bergtatt
Ulver change and evolve constantly....and do it oh so well |
