Do Any Of You Actually Still Plays Video Games?

Games were a big part of my adolescence. I remember the summers when I'd stay at home for many, many days just because I was obsessed with this game and I couldn't bring myself to do any other kind of activity until I finished the fucker. The best example I can remember is Fallout 3 GOTY, which I got as a total bargain and didn't stop playing it until I had about 98% of the trophies (100 % would mean finishing it in both easy, medium and hard modes, which if I tried would totally kill the social side of my life). Nowadays, I'm past 20, enrolling college and my interest in games is almost non-existent... I still like watching the tech news, how powerful the PS4 is gonna be, etc, etc, and at certain times, when a good game with a good history comes along that will take about 8-10 hours to finish (eg. Bioshock Infinite), I might give it a go. But more serious gaming is out of the question - as soon as I try to play a more time demanding game (like some RTS or League of Legends - which I never tried) my brain kinda blocks my concentration and I just can't play anymore. What's more interesting, however, is how a lot of my closest friends, who are in the same age range, have actually taken quite a liking to time- consuming video-games, like the aforementioned LoL. When I ask them why they spend countless nights staring at a computer screen playing against other people to achieve some "rank", the answer is always the same: "To pass the time, dude." Not to offend anyone, but I do think there are better ways to "pass the time". I myself have taken quite an interest in music production and recording, which I think is way more useful than sitting around playing the same stupid videogame just for the sake of reaching a "rank". Gamers of Sputnik, what say you? List is current digs.
