That's the best part on the entire album arguably. The way his voice builds up with the line "we hope your rules and wisdom CHOKES YOU. NOW WE ARE ONE IN EVERLASTING PEACE!" is seriously one of the most beautiful moments in any song ever.

Some chill laid back groove with some seemingly technical drum patterns (I mean that's pretty sweet actually got to admit that) and a weak thom yorke trying to falsetto you to sleep. I mean it would be cool if it broke out or something but it just lulls you to death. It doesn't help that it has the worst radiohead song played directly after it.

YourDarkAffected 07.04.13	House of Cards is the reason In Rainbows is my least favorite of their records other than PH (still splitting hairs though). It just completely throws off the continuity and integrity of the record. Gah, I can't stand that song haha.

YourDarkAffected 07.04.13	Yea, I try not to skip it because I feel like there is something I'm missing and that it will eventually just click, but it never does. All of the other tracks rock though pretty much. I mean, I do have it as a 4.5. which makes the fact that HOC is so weak that much more frustrating.

YourDarkAffected 07.04.13	it seems like there's kinda an emptiness to the record that makes it so different from their other stuff. They've always had little nuances and sounds going on in the background that make you notice something new even after the 50th listen. but on In Rainbows there are so many spaces where that is lacking that it feels like it stands out majorly. At least, that's how it's felt for me.

YourDarkAffected 07.04.13	It took their basement dvd to get me into that song, but purely listening to it doesn't do a whole lot, although the part at the end where he sings "the sun" is incredible. idk why but it kinda bores me until that point, and I listen to ambient stuff like BoC. suffice to say, I have a lot of internal struggle with that album haha
climactic 07.04.13	there is still a lot of stuff going on in the background though. they use the electronics, effects and samples a lot less than most of their other stuff, so it kinda just adds a nice touch to the more straightforward style. that and its cool just hearing them jam out on drums, guitar and bass cause they dont really do that a lot

I just can't help think that maybe if All I need had something else going on as it slowly moves along, or Videotape had more backdrop layers to it, it would add just the right amount needed to make the song on the same quality as stuff like Exit Music or Idioteque
