You Either Die Satisfied

or live to hear every artist you've ever loved disappoint you. Here's what's rdisappointed me so rfar this year:
1The Boxer Rebellion
Promises

3/5, they took a leap of faith off of the indie pop cliff and broke their legs but didn't
die [maybe next album they will though]
2Dark Tranquillity
Construct

3.5/5, album is okay in terms of the standards they've set but their music has
become lazy.
3The Saddest Landscape
Exit Wounded

2.5/5, they might as well have not even released this EP at all
4Alice In Chains
The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here

3.5/5, heavy yea but lacks direction and only a handful of tracks have character to
them.
5Classified
Classified

2.5/5, turd of an album with very few meaningful or interesting tracks
6The Ocean
Pelagial

3/5, the instrumental versions of each song are better but the music overall is not
nearly as good as the band's earlier work
7A.M. Architect
Pattern Language

3/5, what the heck happened to the beautiful bluesy electric guitar that they had
on The Road To The Sun??!?
8Manilla Road
Mysterium

3/5, almost boring
9Sharks
Selfhood

3/5, sounds like this album was recorded right after No Gods but they decreased
the recording's volume and ran out of creative riffs and lyrics
10A City Sorrow Built
Motions

3/5, directionless
11 The Milk Carton Kids
The Ash & Clay

3.5/5, the tracks are pretty good on their own when they come up randomly on
shuffle and play unexpectedly but the album in one sitting is a bit of a snoozefest
12Kalmah
Seventh Swamphony

3/5, Kalmah writing music like they used to in the good old days except that now
because we've had over a decade to digest the music from back then all of their
hooks on this album are predictable and has diminished the quality
13The Men
New Moon

3.5/5, not up to Leave Home or Immaculada standards and I think I may actually
like Open Your Heart a little more
14Volbeat
Outlaw Gentlemen and Shady Ladies

3/5, too popish though there are some okay tracks
15The Black Dahlia Murder
Everblack

3.5, no personality and nothing new. I'll just continue to listen to the six tracks I
liked as they appear on shuffle every so often.
