SSTB (classic of its genre and perfect album)
Ascension (after the top two, their most consistent album. Evagria is in my top 5 coheed songs)
Good Apollo I (too much filler but many of their best songs are on here, and the Willing Well suite is their crowning achievement on a compositional and technical level)
Year of the Black Rainbow (amazing musicianship and atmosphere, even if many of the songs aren't really up to par. world of lines, this shattered symphony, and here we are juggernaut are all up there with their best stuff imo)
No World For Tomorrow (good first half as ciperion says, but given its context in the Amory Wars saga, i thought it lacked inspiration and was an incredibly weak ending. a few too many rehashed ideas, from the Blood Red Summer-biting of Feathers to the IKSOSE3-biting of NWFT. needed less poppy 80s rock music vibes)
Descension (besides Sentry and Number City, every song is extremely forgettable. considerably worse than any of their other albums) |
