How Do I Post-rock?

I've been into progressive rock for a long time now, and I enjoy some Electronica music. But Post-Rock is something I've recently been intrigued by, especially after seeing a bit of Russian Circles play when I went to see BTBAM and Coheed & Cambria. So I really only know this album by Russian Circles and I gave a listen to Lift Yr. Skinny Fists. I like the RC album, but was bored to death by Godspeed You, and pretty much all the other Post-Rock I've tried. So am I jumping into it too quick? How do I ease myself into this genre?
